About the Team

The New Verticals Business Development team is a small, fast-paced, high-performing group responsible for establishing, managing and scaling new lines of business at DoorDash in the retail and logistics verticals.

About the Role

As Senior Associate, Retail Partnerships you will be focused on managing, scaling and developing the strategy for enterprise partnerships in the retail, ecommerce, and logistics vertical. This opportunity will get you in at the ground floor and operate at “start up” pace for one of DoorDash’s fastest and most promising new bets. You will report into the Senior Manager of New Business Development

  • Manage and cultivate relationships with leading enterprise retailers and ecommerce logistics providers that will drive step change growth for DoorDash
  • Serve as the day-to-day point of contact for a portfolio of strategic partners, build a deep understanding of their business challenges/goals and develop creative solutions to meet their needs
  • Flex your negotiating skills, by leading partnership upsells and cross-sells that drive mutually beneficial outcomes for partners and DoorDash 
  • Shape the product roadmap and go to market strategy for one of DoorDash’s most exciting new bets based on your in-depth product knowledge and market feedback
  • Inform goals for growth and revenue (and its proxies); and advise on associated business resource needs

We’re excited about you because…

  • You have 3-5 years experience in business development, account management, client success, consulting, banking or strategic partnerships in technology or high growth / early stage startups
  • 3+ years of cross-functional operational experience
  • You have retail, ecommerce, or logistics industry experience
  • You have a Bachelors degree
  • You are comfortable with data (SQL) and making decisions based on imperfect data
  • You are a collaborator, and consensus builder
  • You set and communicate clear visions and strategies for your teams
  • You are naturally optimistic, but not blinded by conviction
  • You cultivate mutually beneficial relationships

Compensation

The successful candidates starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.  Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographical market up to our highest geographical market within the United States.
