About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Director to lead our SMB Commerce Platform Sales Organization (Sales, Account Management, Merchant Success). In this role, you will lead one of the most transformative growth opportunities at DoorDash — creating and scaling the go-to SaaS platform for SMBs. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our go-to-market strategy, deeply understanding merchant needs, building scalable teams and systems, and leading cross-functional execution. This role is ideal for a visionary executive who thrives in zero-to-one environments and is ready to build a business with startup agility and enterprise impact. As the Senior Director, you will oversee a leadership bench with multiple layers and support a rapidly growing team of specialized sales professionals.
You will report to our Head of SMB Restaurant Success, Jack Momeyer, in our SMB Sales organization. We expect this role to be flexible in terms of time spent remotely and in-office with the ability to travel as needed for in-person collaboration through training, offsites, team-building events, and other business-related necessities.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Transform: Lead the shift to a value-based, SaaS-focused GTM strategy through cross-functional sales enablement and training.
- Achieve: Drive strategic sales initiatives to exceed revenue goals and accelerate adoption of our Commerce Platform offerings.
- Influence: Engage with customers and synthesize insights to shape product development and unlock new revenue opportunities.
- Acquire: Design and launch scalable acquisition models — including inbound and product-led — to diversify growth channels.
- Retain: Partner with Account Management to build and scale playbooks that improve retention, optimize revenue, and power upsell motions.
- Scale: Align cross-functional teams to drive sustainable growth, translate insights into action, and deliver long-term customer value.
We’re excited about you because…
- You have 8+ years of sales leadership experience, including 5+ as a second/third-line leader, with a track record of managing multilayered SMB and Mid-Market teams at scale.
- You have deep SaaS expertise — building and scaling platform-based sales teams, integrating new products into existing motions, and partnering cross-functionally to unlock TAM.
- You have proven success leading large Sales and AM organizations, developing leaders beneath you, and building systems for performance, people development, and goal setting.
- You have experience launching and scaling sales motions for early-stage SaaS products, owning go-to-market from scratch and building feedback loops that drive product-market fit.
- You thrive in ambiguity, drive innovation in fast-moving environments, and lay the foundation for DoorDash’s long-term SaaS success.
We expect this position to be filled by 6/22/25
