Alta is looking for a Transportation Engineer to join our growing design team in the Boca Raton, Florida office. This mid-career role is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about sustainable transportation and eager to advance their career. In this position, you will work on a wide variety of projects focused on transforming communities through multimodal transportation solutions, including complete street reconfigurations, bikeway designs, complex trails, and other innovative transportation solutions. Day to Day
As a Transportation Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and delivering a variety of multimodal transportation projects, including complete streets, bikeway design, and pedestrian improvements.
- Working on project tasks like geometric layout, grading, storm drainage, green infrastructure, traffic control plans, construction staging, and more.
- Developing high-quality design documents, including Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for bid-ready packages.
- Participating in site visits to investigate existing conditions, observe construction activities, and inform design decisions.
- Leading and supporting project coordination meetings with clients and consultants.
- Collaborating with internal teams to prepare proposals, scope of work documents, and technical graphics for grant applications and other planning activities.
- Assisting with business development and contributing to the proposal process when pursuing new projects.

Compensation
Compensation
The pay range for this job in Boca Raton is $85,000-$125,000 annually. Placement within the range is based upon experience, skill-sets, and qualifications.
