About the role:
The Senior Solutions Engineering technical designer is essential in bridging the gap between sales and technical teams. The role involves creating detailed technical specifications for proposed solutions by collaborating closely with sales, engineering, and customer teams. Responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy and clarity of technical information presented to clients, aligning with product capabilities and customer requirements. Strong technical writing skills, a deep understanding of the companys product suite, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable documentation for diverse audiences are crucial for success in this role.

What you will do:
o Develop Technical Specifications: Create comprehensive documentation outlining proposed solutions for customer needs and business rules, covering system architecture, feature details, performance metrics, and integration points.
o Maintain Product Knowledge: Stay up to date on EasyPosts product features, capabilities, and limitations to ensure accuracy in technical documentation and solution representation.
o Create Clear and Visual Documentation: Compose well-organized technical specifications, incorporating diagrams, charts, and visuals to facilitate understanding for diverse audiences.
o Provide Technical Expertise: Collaborate during solution design phases, offering technical insights that contribute to the development of optimal solutions tailored to customer requirements.
o Support Account Growth: Work closely with the Customer Success Management (CSM) team to identify opportunities for growth within customer accounts.
o Build and Maintain Customer Relationships: Establish strong, long-term relationships with customers, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations, even in challenging situations.

About you:
o Bachelor’s Degree
o 8+ years of related experience, master’s degree and 6+ years of related experience, or equivalent related work experience. 
o The candidate must possess excellent writing and communication skills.
o The candidate must have experience in owning and building an end to end documentation process.
o Understanding of Databases, RESTful APIs, and interpreting XML and JSON requests/responses.
o Ability to handle communication with multiple internal teams.
o Ability to tailor technical communication with all levels of customerunderstanding.
o Ability to comprehend complex programming code.
o Willingness to adapt to an evolving work environment.
o Customer facing experience with a customer first attitude.
o Past experience in pre-sales and or being the designer for an implementation is a huge plus.
o Experience in the shipping industry and being familiar with carriers as well as different shipping requirements around international, hazmat, hundred weight, etc.
