Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Box Line Confirmer. Schedule for the role will be Friday-Sunday and hours are 5:00pm-5:00am.
The hourly rate for this position is $19.00 - $23.75 per hour.

What you’ll do:
Assist Fabrication Supervision in executing daily production schedules to insure finished products are assembled and delivered to shipping department within the required cycle time to meet customer promise dates. Also play a key role in trouble shooting process detractors, identifying process improvement opportunities and working with internal/external customers to meet their required needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Monitor Open Items reports daily for NEMA1 and/or 3 processes. Adjust processes as necessary to assure priorities are met as identified by internal and external customers.
- Based off the open items report manage all custom demands according to expedites then oldest due dates.
- Understand the metrics for quality and production output and work with the team to demonstrate continuous process improvement.
- Maintain communication with other departments, including, front end, complete assembly and fabrication teams, on the status of priority parts orders.
- Report out on status of JIT Requirements at all required plant / production meetings.
- Serve as a resource in performing various skills training. This can include Lean and Safety.
- Knowledgeable in all safety and industrial hygiene requirements as they pertain to the NEMA1 processes and enforce their practice.
- Collect and evaluate production data including tact time, parts output, etc.
- Use of DMM system to order and manage the parts requirements to meet customer promise dates.
- Receive work assignments for supervisors and prioritize jobs based upon the urgency of the order. Effectively communicate daily production goals to one’s functional team.
- Consistently check the quality of all products to ensure requirements are being met by the work team. Promote quality objectives among one’s employees by clarifying quality standard and goals.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
Basic (Required):
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2-3 manufacturing experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Sumter facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position.
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts.
- Computer literate.
- Experience using various tools, including Work Instructions, fork truck and measuring tape.

- Demonstrate teaming skills.
- Focus efforts on attaining assigned goals and objectives, which include meeting needs and expectations.
