Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Test Systems Engineering Manager.
Relocation offered to candidates residing in the US and live outside 50 miles of the facility.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

As a Test Systems Engineering Manager at Eaton, you’ll lead the development and deployment of cutting-edge automated test systems for our Power Systems Series products, focusing on electronic controls and associated components.
In this dynamic role, you’ll guide a talented team of test systems engineers and work closely with diverse cross-functional project teams, including suppliers, supply chain, engineering, finance, manufacturing engineering, supplier quality engineering, quality, and environmental health and safety (EHS). Your leadership will ensure our advanced test systems meet a wide range of business requirements. You will be based at Eaton’s Franksville, WI site (approximately 20 miles south of Milwaukee), with regular visits to local suppliers and up to 10% annual travel throughout North America.

Essential Functions:
-Lead and Manage: Manage small team of test systems engineers with various experience levels developing their overall capabilities to meet and exceed goals.
-Innovate and Improve: Lead the definition, development, and deployment of new automated test systems used in production processes for PCBAs and electronic controls. Assist design groups to ensure product designs can be economically, safely, and reliably tested in a production environment.
-Think & Act Strategically: Develop and execute strategies to manage and improve production test systems at PCBA contract manufacturers in North America, and coordinate with Eaton’s assembly plant(s) and IT to integrate with Eaton business systems.
-Ensure Safety: Lead test equipment electrical safety assessments and risk reduction projects including but not limited to redundant interlocks, guarding, safety rated control circuits, remote grounding, PPE, and testing and verification procedures.
-Drive Efficiency: Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance production test system equipment reliability and safety, test capabilities, and spare parts management.
-Execute Projects: Lead, facilitate and participate in the activities of a cross-functional team to plan and execute continuous improvement and new product development projects from specification and procurement to verification and commissioning. Accurately communicate status and quality of projects and deliverables to team, management, and stakeholders.
-Ensure Quality: Develop and maintain complete design and maintenance documentation on existing and new production test equipment. This includes hardware, software, and compliance requirements.
-Strive for Excellence: Set ambitious goals, measure performance, and constantly seek ways to improve processes, products, and services.
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications
-Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited institution.
-Minimum of five (5) years engineering experience
-Minimum of two years of experience with automated industrial controls testing
-Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited institution or equivalent.
-Three or more years of experience supporting and developing circuit board manufacturing automated test systems.
-Two or more years as a leader of people.
-Proficient with National Instruments hardware (DIO, DAQ, GPIB, and PXI) and experience with software tools (LabView and TestStand).
-Experience with NFPA70E and OSHA Regulations in Electrical Safety (Arc Flash, LOTO, Approach Boundaries, PPE selection and testing).
-Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer and/or Certified TestStand Developer.
-SQL/MySQL database knowledge.
-JTAG, ICT, Flying probe, Boundary scan knowledge.
