eBay, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Define, design, and implement highly scalable, resilient, and performant distributed systems. Develop innovative software solutions alignment to development goals and principles. Document and analyze technical business problems and drive them to machine learning-based solutions; familiarity with ML (Machine Learning) data pipelines is a plus. Lead product design and produce clear, well-documented design docs, and participate in design and software code reviews. Evangelize and communicate design, methods, and results to a community of developers, analysts, and product managers. Maintain high test coverage and other release criteria standards. Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to develop and improve the performance of individual team members and the success of the overall team. Lead engineering support, release, and rotating on-call responsibilities for an always-on 24x7 site. Telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
