Data Platform Team:

The Data Platform Engineering team builds and innovates at all levels of our stack. You will own a global data platform stack that powers all Eightfold products. The platform manages hundreds of terabytes of data across Eightfold. We power the entire AI platform with the data.

Responsibilities:

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will own and build large-scale software platforms that are serving millions of users with high availability.
Build out large-scale software platforms serving millions of users with high availability and reliability.
Ability to prove strong coding skills and knowledge.
Contribute to the design and development of Eightfolds data platform.
Scale, optimize and Innovate to extend Data Platform capabilities.
Build out microservices using frameworks such as Docker and Kubernetes to power all our products.
Deliver high-performance, reliable, and scalable products leveraging best-of-breed technology.
Diagnose problems which can arise in a complex distributed environment.
Support the deployment and operation of our product across multiple environments.

Qualifications:

Expertise in high-performance distributed systems and scalable architectures.
Min 8+ years of relevant work experience.
Strong understanding of distributed system design patterns and microservices architecture.
5+ years of experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) in production environments.
Strong knowledge of message queuing systems (AWS SQS, Kafka).
Experience with search technologies like SOLR or Elasticsearch.
Proficiency in implementing API rate limiting, throttling, and caching strategies.
Experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with system integration patterns and API design.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience.
Strong problem-solving and data analysis
Performance optimization and scalability
System integration and API development.
Monitoring and troubleshooting
Excellent communication skills and cross-team collaboration

Pay Transparency

Please note this role is categorized as onsite or hybrid in Santa Clara, CA The base salary ranges below are provided for pay transparency. Base pay is only one piece of our total compensation package as this role may be eligible for bonus and equity awards. Compensation varies depending on a number of factors including qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and zones determined by location. SF Bay Area, CA is in Zone A.

Base annual salary range: $213,000 to 250,000 + discretionary bonus up to 20% + preIPO equity (stock options).
