The Senior Analyst Treasury Cash Forecasting & Analysis prepares the cash forecast and related analysis to support the broader Corporate Treasury team in maintaining, updating, and evolving the cash flow forecast for the second-largest retirement plan provider in the US. The Senior Analyst Treasury Forecasting and Analysis critically examines cash variances and delves into detailed data to provide management with clear and concise variance explanations. This role is focused on detailed analysis, controls, and validation of sources with a focus on incorporating new technologies. In addition, this role will support the Corporate Treasurer with special projects, including presentations and analysis, as needed.

What you will do:

  • Prepares and maintains the weekly cash forecast, ensuring a controlled output with validated sources.
  • Creates detailed variance analyses for actual results compared to forecasts/budget.
  • Enhances sensitivity and scenario analysis with a focus on evaluating required cash balances.
  • Effectively partners with Treasury leadership, Investments, and Portfolio Management team to ensure a solid and reliable forecast estimate with usable outputs.
  • Seeks opportunities to improve and automate the cash forecasting process, pursuing technical advances.
  • Assists with Treasury Management System (TMS) implementation with a focus on actuals analysis and model inputs. Will be the primary creator of “tagging” rules to classify bank transactions within the TMS.
  • Utilizes the TMS to create reports to be used in cash forecasting and other analysis, as needed.
  • Collaborates with Finance department, including Accounting, to formulate and execute financial strategies that align with risk tolerance and corporate objectives.
  • Supports the Corporate Treasurer with special projects including presentations and analysis, as needed.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or other business-related discipline and 5-7+ years of work experience.
  • Experience working in a complex life insurance or retirement recordkeeping environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience with financial statements and cash flow; strong knowledge of accounting and the interaction between balance sheet, income statement and cash/non-cash items required.
  • Model-building experience with technology focus required.
  • Experience with accounting systems such as SAP strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Treasury Management System (TMS) implementation strongly preferred.

Base Salary Range

$76,300.00 - $107,800.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
