$91,000.00 - $119,000.00

What’s the role?


We are looking for a People & Workplace Coordinator to support operational excellence for the People and workplace organization at Etsy including - (1) Global Workplace (2) People Total Rewards, Systems and Operations (3) Talent Acquisition & Operations (4) People Strategy. This role will support critical business and organizational operations, enabling the P+W teams to operate efficiently to achieve their strategic goals. The ideal candidate is familiar with Human resources and Workplace related functions, highly motivated, analytical, process oriented, and an excellent communicator (written and verbal). 

This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director of Global Workplace. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. 

This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office.   • The coordinators for People and Workplace would provide essential support to our P+W Executive Team and senior leadership. From calendar management to team engagement and beyond, the person in this role would wear many hats to ensure our most senior leaders and their teams operate at peak efficiency. We take pride in being a close-knit, highly collaborative team who regularly work together to learn from each other and problem solve. 

What does the day-to-day look like?

  • Design processes, and operating cadences to achieve organizational outcomes for the Global Workplace; People Total Rewards, Systems and Operations; Talent Acquisition & Operations; and  People Strategy teams.

  • Create, maintain, and implement operating rhythms for P+W Leaders. Including the coordinating in-person and hybrid meetings, communicating agenda items, taking notes, note distribution in team meetings and sending follow ups and action items 

  • Provide calendaring and expenses support for the (4) P+W Leaders. 

  • Facilitate information sharing from P+W Leaders to their teams to ensure transparency and clarity on each function’s strategy, progress and broader business context.

  • Maintain all communication channels and organizational charts including: Google distribution lists and Slack channel lists with new joiners, exits, and org changes, etc. 

  • Support team gatherings in partnership with P+W Executive Assistant and the Intentional Gathering team. 

  • Ad-hoc project management to stand-up a new process or program. 

  • Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require! You should assume that your role will encompass other tasks, too, and that your job duties and responsibilities may change from time to time at Etsys discretion, or otherwise applicable with local law.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience developing processes and tools to enable smooth operations.  

  • Familiarity with the Human resources or Workplace functions or direct experience in an HR team. 

  • High attention to detail and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to define, organize and operationalize a plan to tackle nebulous challenges.

  • Ability to maintain order, focus and calm in times of ambiguity and changing priorities.

  • A trust in and commitment to Etsy’s vision, mission and values.

  • Proficiency using Google Suite, Slack, and Microsoft programs, such as word, excel, and PowerPoint.

  • This role supports senior leadership and will require you to flex in multiple directions as priorities shift - having a positive, roll-up-your-sleeves and get the work done approach will set you up for success in this role.
