$143,000.00 - $185,000.00

What’s the role?

As the Senior Workplace Program Manager, you will play a critical role in managing a broad range of Workplace and Capital Projects globally! You will focus on delivering seamless project execution across design, construction, and ongoing operational needs while ensuring alignment with Etsy’s evolving hybrid work strategy. You will collaborate across multiple Workplace verticals and cross-functional teams, including IT, Strategic Sourcing, Legal, and People Analytics, to name a few.

This position requires expertise in managing capital budgets, overseeing project management processes, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. You will also drive the continuous improvement of operating rhythms, global standards and PM tools (e.g., Monday.com), supporting streamlined project execution.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director, Global Workforce. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.

This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What does the day-to-day look like?

  • Lead Corporate and Commercial Projects: Oversee all phases of capital projects, including budgeting, planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout. Ensure successful delivery within scope, time, and budget.

  • Manage Third-Party Resource Management: Manage contracted project delivery teams (consultants, contractors, vendors) to ensure effective execution. Source and qualify project resources, conduct RFP processes, and recommend vendors to clients.

  • Manage Global CapEx Budget: Oversee the global Capital Expenditure (CapEx) budget, working closely with Strategic Finance, Accounting, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed within scope, on time, and on budget. Manage the construction bid process, vendor onboarding, and track payments and change orders.

  • Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (Workplace, IT, HRIS, Legal, etc.) and external consultants (architects, contractors, vendors) to ensure strategic alignment and the smooth execution of projects, including workplace technology integration and infrastructure management.

  • Optimize Project Management Systems: Lead the oversight and continuous improvement of project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Intraknit) to ensure efficiency and consistency across global teams. Implement systems for tracking project progress, including RACI charts, status reports, and project timelines.

  • Maintain Workplace Operating Plans: Create and maintain Workplace playbooks, operating manuals, and global standards to ensure consistency across regions.

  • Support Metrics & Insights: Develop and collect workplace metrics and utilization data to inform decision-making. Provide insights and recommendations to workplace leadership to ensure that workspace strategies align with business goals and optimize operational efficiency.

  • Oversee Global Workplace Procurement: Lead the workplace procurement process, partnering with Strategic Sourcing to manage global service vendor contracts, ensuring timely and cost-effective vendor selection, contract negotiations, and ongoing vendor performance.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

  • 7-10 years of experience in project management, including managing corporate construction and workplace design projects at scale.

  • Expertise in Architectural Drawings: Ability to read, interpret, and manage architectural plans, specifications, and project documentation (submittals, shop drawings, etc.).

  • Leadership & Team Management: Proven experience leading and mentoring cross-functional project teams to successful outcomes. You are a trusted leader who fosters collaboration and builds a high-performance, psychologically safe environment for your team.

  • Strategic Problem-Solving: A creative, analytical problem solver with the ability to synthesize complex information and identify innovative solutions that drive business impact.

  • Independent & Agile: You are comfortable working independently to define and tackle ambiguous challenges, prioritizing and delivering results quickly. You have a strong understanding of the importance of continuous reflection and adapting plans based on new inputs.

  • Clear Communicator: You think and communicate clearly, building strong relationships and trust across all levels of the organization—from C-suite to team members. You are comfortable presenting and updating senior leaders with concise, actionable insights.

  • Process-Oriented: You are highly organized with strong time and knowledge management skills. You are adept at managing multiple active work streams and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
