As a Scrum Master / Project Manager, you will oversee Agile software development and cloud engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality. You will work closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams to optimize workflows, remove impediments, and drive delivery efficiency.

This role requires experience facilitating Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe in cloud-native, DevOps-driven environments while maintaining visibility into project risks, dependencies, and execution roadmaps. You will ensure alignment between business objectives, engineering efforts, and Agile best practices to maximize team efficiency and delivery velocity.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Leadership & Scrum Facilitation

  • Guide teams through Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives).

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability.

  • Coach teams on Agile, SAFe, and Kanban principles, enabling continuous improvement and self-organization.

  • Drive alignment between engineering and product teams, ensuring priorities are clear and actionable.

Project Management & Delivery Execution

  • Develop and manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.

  • Track dependencies and coordinate cross-functional initiatives across multiple teams.

  • Identify risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies to prevent delays.

  • Implement data-driven reporting using Agile metrics (velocity, cycle time, burndown) to optimize team performance.

  • Drive Agile transformation efforts, ensuring best practices are adopted at scale.

Stakeholder Communication & Alignment

  • Serve as the primary liaison between engineering, product, and leadership teams, ensuring expectations are met.

  • Provide regular project updates, roadmaps, and risk assessments to executives and stakeholders.

  • Foster collaboration across teams, ensuring smooth handoffs between development, QA, and operations.

  • Manage competing priorities and ensure strategic initiatives are aligned with business goals.

Process Improvement & Agile Maturity

  • Continuously evaluate and refine Agile processes to enhance delivery efficiency.

  • Introduce automation, workflow optimizations, and tooling enhancements to improve team productivity.

  • Implement best practices for backlog management, release planning, and cross-team coordination.

  • Support CI/CD and DevOps adoption, ensuring seamless integration of Agile and infrastructure automation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master and/or Project Manager in cloud-native, DevOps, or software engineering environments.

  • Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe methodologies.

  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project management tools.

  • Ability to track dependencies, manage risks, and ensure on-time project delivery.

  • Experience facilitating Agile practices in cloud engineering, DevOps, or CI/CD-driven environments.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting project updates to executives.

  • Ability to balance Agile flexibility with structured project execution, ensuring both adaptability and accountability.

Nice to Have

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist (SA), PMI-ACP, or PMP certification.

  • Experience working in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, or cloud automation environments.

  • Understanding of Platform Engineering principles, FinOps, and cloud governance best practices.

  • Experience leading Agile initiatives, cloud transformations or organizational change initiatives.

Compensation

The target base compensation for this position is $60,000 to $75,000 USD per year in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
