Position Summary:

This role will be an integral part of the Finance Systems team, which operates within a product operating model. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of critical finance systems. The Finance Systems Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Record to Report Value Stream within our expanding Finance Systems team.  In this role as manager, you will lead and manage the day-to-day operations and integrations of our Record to Report Architecture which includes OneStream and NetSuite with an upstream integration to Workday as well as define and drive long term strategy and improvements and across these systems and processes. You will also implement and lead strategic plans and participate in the selection of methods, tools, techniques, and evaluation criteria required to achieve desired results.

The ideal candidate, will have a proven history of demonstrating effective leadership and can advise and mentor teams to meet objectives, showcase excellent communication skills, and can work in a fast-paced environment while adapting to business priority changes with ease. You must have a strong accounting and project management background. Have extensive experience in the Record to Report financial processes. Be familiar with current best practices and new technological trends to be able to work with various teams to streamline existing processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Development - Lead and mentor a high performing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment; Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to team members; Ensure team alignment with organizational goals and objective
  • Become fully engaged in deployment activities by providing technical guidance to project teams and developing material and conducting training as new reports, features & functionality go live to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Drive Finance Close Efficiency by implementing and improving processes and systems
  • Uphold our rigorous internal control standards across the Record to Report product area, and ensure accuracy of reporting while driving automation and simplification
  • Build and maintain excellent cross functional relationships as well as interact and partner with all levels of management to streamline existing processes and drive collaborative business decisions
  • Work with cross functional teams to lead, coordinate and drive change using the agile methodology by focusing on iterative development, collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Evaluate and recommend integration opportunities with other systems to streamline and improve consistency and accuracy of the Record to Report product area
  • Analyze complex financial data, gathering requirements, and supporting the optimization of the Record to Report processes to ensure compliance and efficiency
  • Define and manage the roadmap across the Record to Report product area
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, including process flows, user stories, and data mappings
  • Provide in-depth functional knowledge of NetSuite and OneStream (or similar) processes and ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC and IFRS
  • Apply your knowledge of Record to Report best practices and financial processes to propose solutions and specific requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Years of Experience: 10+ years of relevant accounting, finance, FP&A industry experience and/or Business Analyst experience automating the GL system, financial close, close consolidation, or FP&A process
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with NetSuite and OneStream or similar systems
  • 5+ years of experience managing a high performing team
  • Understand how operational and financial decisions impact the financial statements, including impacts to GAAP and SEC reporting and internal controls
  • Ability to work alongside others in a highly collaborative organization while also being self-motivated and deadline driven in a fast-paced environment
  • Serve as the primary business process and system functionality subject matter expert to assist organization in optimizing, standardizing, and improving system solutions and business processes
  • Facilitate scope definition, and high-level planning, discovery, and estimation workshops for projects with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency in leading projects of medium to large scale and implement change initiatives as a technical expert within a specified product or process area
  • Proficiency in business process modeling and tools like Lucid Chart, JIRA, Asana, or similar platforms for project tracking and management
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power)
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex business processes into technical requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with finance and technical teams Experience working in an agile environment.

Where:
The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States, with access to our Denver, CO office if you are located in Colorado – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation: The compensation for this position is $130,000 to $150,000 USD per year in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
