Introduction to team
Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including Employee Communications, Finance, Legal, People Team, Inclusion and Diversity, and Global Social Impact and Sustainability.
In this global HR business partner leadership role, you will support our Expedia Travel Partnerships & Media & Private Label Solutions divisions as the global, strategic people business partner for these two Travel Leadership Team members (CEO-directs).
In this role, you will:
Strategic Partnership: Partner closely with global business leaders to define the overall People strategy, anticipating long-term HR needs and translating business plans into HR program objectives. Drive informed decision-making using data to identify trends, resolve root causes of issues, and develop effective solutions.
Organisational Evolution: Organisational Design and Organisational Health assessed by metrics and overall people strategy.
Leadership Coaching: enterprise leadership development, gaining horizontal support, focusing on execution with a view on scaling.
Strategic Integration: Be the voice of the divisional business strategy to the Expedia Group People team and voice of the people strategy to business teams as you will collaborate across the People team to set and execute the People priority initiatives for Expedia Group.
Business Partnership: As a true value-coach, build a seamless partnership with our divisional global leadership teams, as a genuine trusted advisor. Partner with our business leaders to understand business and talent requirements, whilst advising them on industry talent trends and market competitiveness.
Talent Agenda: work closely with Business Partner peers and the global People team to ensure the divisions are successful in achieving their goals. This includes partnering with the centres of excellence (CoEs) to define the approach and implementation plan for team effectiveness, culture creation, high performing talent identification, succession planning and a focus on future oriented organisational capabilities.
Organisation Culture: Embedding Expedia Group Culture and Enterprise Leader behaviours across the business.
Change Management & Organisation Effectiveness: Use effective strategies that enable the organisation to thrive through periods of change and provide coaching that helps leaders develop and grow.
Experience and qualifications:
You are a true global HR and business thought leader, have a strong commercial experience and is energized by building and implementing a global people strategy.
As a strategic, global HR business partner, you can comprehensively understand the global business strategy and connect it to talent strategy and future talent needs.
You will have supported an organisation on a global scale and across variety of business functions, specifically Sales and Commercial teams (deep understanding of VIPs).
You will have well-rounded HR experience as a strategic partner with cross-discipline HR experience. Notably demonstrable capability in organisational development, executive coaching, compensation, talent management etc.
Experienced leading multi-cultural HR teams and navigating global complexity to implement consistent processes, products and experiences.
You have a flexible and adaptable style to successfully steer competing priorities. You are comfortable during times of ambiguity and adept at handling change.
Experienced operating in a highly matrixed organisation, being familiar with approaches needed to get things done in a collaborative, lean and fast-paced environment.
You are an incredibly strong operator on a global scale, across globally dispersed teams, leveraging technology and change management to continuously optimize efficiencies and push the boundaries of what is possible.
