Expel is searching for a Senior Business Value Consultant. This is a new role at Expel that will partner with sales reps and leaders to distill the value our solution brings into compelling business cases for our customers. The Senior Business Value Consultant will play a meaningful role in helping us scale our business in partnership with our GTM teams.

What you can do for Expel

  • Bring a passion for sales, customers, and winning.
  • Share your experience owning and implementing successful value consulting strategies and frameworks for a high-performance team with big goals for the future.
  • Lead the creation of business value models and presentations for customers, acting as a thought partner to our GTM teams for specific deals.
  • Participate in and drive value conversations with prospects and customers to clearly articulate the value of Expel’s solutions.
  • Partner with sales leaders and cross-functional teams to maintain a pulse on whats happening in the field, constantly assessing gaps and tailoring programs to get results.

What you should bring with you

  • A curious, creative, and bold mentality.
  • A servant leadership approach - you’ve worked across teams before and know that strong results come from winning together!
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills across communication styles, from deeply technical through executive.
  • Excellent written communication skills, using documents and presentations, combined with strong analytical abilities. You can identify problems, create solutions, build models, and write overview documents to align collaborators to the plan.
  • Prior customer-facing experience as a value consultant or in a quota carrying sales role.
  • A bachelors or post-graduate degree in a related field, or an equivalent level of experience in a relevant area.

Additional notes

The targeted base compensation for this role is: $130,600-189,400.00 USD + bonus eligibility & equity.

We believe in paying transparently and equitably. Your salary will ultimately be based on factors such as your experience, skills, team equity, and market data. You’ll also be eligible for unlimited PTO (which we model and encourage), work location flexibility, up to 24 weeks of parental leave, and really excellent health benefits.

This role will be based out of your home office or out of our HQ office in Herndon, VA.
