Job Description
As a Software Developer Engineer, you are part of a high-performance team focused on defining new software applications and ensuring tight integration with existing ones, ensuring application security, driving innovation, modernizing application infrastructure, and improving delivery effectiveness by:
- Define integration-centric solutions in the context of the transition from traditional, legacy platforms to service-oriented/cloud-based architectures.
- Determine the right configuration of the integration platform and components to suit the application strategy and establish the environment and instance strategy for integration platform environments.
- Secure enterprise information by determining security requirements, planning, implementing, and testing security systems, and preparing security standards and procedures.
You will work within an Agile, scrum-based team environment to understand the business domain and client requirements that create analysis, architecture, and design of quality technical solutions. These solutions across a broad spectrum of technologies and must align with business and IT strategies, comply with our architectural standards and security, and, most importantly, delight the customer. As a Sr. Software engineer, you will report to the Sr. Director Software Engineering
Main Responsibilities
- As a software development engineer, you will participate in design activities and build the foundation for API management and a portfolio of services across Cloud and in-house developed applications using Enterprise Integration and API platforms.
- Design Technical/Integration Architectures, including development, runtime, and operations architectures.
- Define solutions using Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) patterns, automating business process models, an API-enabled gateway, and multi/hybrid cloud-based services.
- Define and provide integrated solutions by applying delivery methodologies, including Agile and Model-Driven techniques.
- Assess business problems, system needs, and the external system interfaces.
- Participate in large-group, coordinated planning sessions and provide effort estimates and timeline commitments.
- Maintain modern knowledge of current and new technologies, industry trends, and standards.
- Collaborate with other developers, technical leads, and Architects spanning their respective areas and resolve technological disagreement with informed, rational, and collaborative solutions
- May work on logical and physical database designs for the given project where applicable.
- Develop and implement enterprise-class security systems for production environments in both on-prem and cloud-based systems
- Use current programming language and technologies to write code, complete programming, and perform testing and debugging of applications
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab)
- 5+ years experience in Java
