Ideal Candidate:

The successful candidate will be a proactive problem solver with strong technical skills, adept at quickly mastering new systems and technologies. Thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic, and entrepreneurial environment, this role demands strong collaboration with internal project managers, developers, and external clients. Therefore, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor while tackling challenging problems are essential.

Candidates should have 2-3 years of post-university experience in a technology-related role within the financial services vendor space or a similar position at a buy-side or sell-side firm. Ideal candidates will have experience working with an OMS/PMS/EMS vendor and a solid understanding of the FIX protocol.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage onboarding projects for hedge funds and asset managers to successful completion.

  • Engage with clients to uncover their trading objectives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and meet business needs and requirements.

  • Communicate with external brokers to facilitate trade execution.

  • Configure trader accounts, environments, and trade routes.

  • Customize GUIs for traders to access trade information on their screens.

  • Partner with developers to integrate new features not available out-of-the-box.

  • Deliver high-quality results within specified timelines in an Agile environment.

  • Analyze project requirements and create comprehensive documentation, including functional analyses, runbooks, and workflow reports.

  • Provide onsite and remote training for front office, back office, portfolio managers, and compliance officers on LiquidityBook products.

  • Manage vendor-client relationships, including technology teams, prime brokers, fund administrators, and executing brokers on behalf of clients.

  • Configure End of Day files for trade communication and compliance purposes.

  • Follow up with clients post-project to enhance user experience and identify upsell opportunities.

Qualifications and Preferred Attributes:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent required

  • Preferably 2-3 years of experience in a relevant role.

  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and client expectations.

  • Experience with databases and knowledge of SQL.

  • Familiarity with Java and/or Python is a plus.

  • Working understanding of the FIX protocol.

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.

  • Technical aptitude and enthusiasm for learning new technologies and languages.

  • Great interest and understanding of financial markets and the investment process.

  • Ability to work in a team setting and meet strict deadlines.
