DEPARTMENT BRIEF
The mission of the Dealmakers & Wealth Strategic Business Unit (SBU) is to accelerate FactSet’s growth by strategically advancing the established sectors of Banking and Wealth Management, as well as driving accelerated expansion of two rapidly emerging sectors, Corporates and Private Equity/Venture Capital.
We work by building and delivering market leading solutions via an open platform that seamlessly integrates differentiated content, workflow automation, and pioneers GenAI development. We learn through deep-rooted collaboration with our clients to understand their challenges and opportunities. And lastly, we win by bringing it all together - content, efficiency, technology, and support - in collaboration with our Sales and Client Solutions teams to deliver an industry leading partnership to our clients.
SUB-PROCESS BRIEF
FactSet’s Deal Makers & Wealth SBU, is looking for a talented Software Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining web-based applications using latest JavaScript frameworks and server-side technologies.
The Engineer will work as a developer focusing on off platform Products. . This team focuses on developing solutions that integrate FactSet components and data into 3rd party platforms such as Salesforce & Microsoft Dynamics 365
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Participate in the development and validation of functional enhancements to Research Integrations Products
Participate in the maintenance and support of the solution
Maintain and resolve issues in existing components
Participate in agile development process and ceremonies
Participate in quality assurance activities
Provide periodic project status updates to team lead/remote manager
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
4 - 6 years of experience building web applications
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript desirable
Experience with Node.js desirable
Experience with JavaScript-based MVC frameworks, especially AngularJS /VueJs/ similar framework is desirable
Good understanding of Object Oriented Design Methodologies
Ability to articulate and quickly adopt development best practices
Ability to work as part of a geographically diverse team
Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical people
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build strong relationships and work with people at all levels to solve problems and overcome obstacles
Experience using JIRA or other Agile development tools is preferred
Willingness to work as a member of a team, including participating in peer code reviews and maintaining project and operational documentation
Experience with Salesforce development is a plus
