Job Description
As a valued leader on our team, you will manage the work of a team designing, producing, testing, or implementing software, technology, or processes, as well as create and maintain IT architecture, large scale data stores, and cloud-based systems.

The Enterprise Data - Software Engineering - Manager role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Determine the needs of diverse and complex customer groups requiring applied understanding of strategic issues of importance to the function/initiative.
- Plan and direct the work of the team as they design and develop software solutions to meet needs.
- Ensure teams use a process-driven approach in designing solutions.
- Oversee the implementation of new software technology.
- Oversee the effective and efficient maintenance of existing software.
Qualifications
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Required Skills
- 6 years of experience
- Full Software Development Lifecycle experience in mission critical and complex strategic initiatives with customer-oriented mindset and relationship building skills
- Strong team management skills and collective capabilities for leadership, including leading teams, giving feedback, facilitating meetings, and coaching and mentoring
- Attention to detail and a deep understanding of software engineering best practices
- Experience leading or managing Agile Scrum teams in Agile Ceremonies ex: PI Planning etc to support critical projects and business operations (Kanban/Scrum/SAFe)
- Experience working day to day with product owners and other development team members to develop software for new features and user stories needed in new/revised applications
- Experience with TDD and BDD best practices for Agile Teams
- Strong understanding of DevOps (CI/CD) processes and procedures (Jenkins, Nexus, Git/Bitbucket)
- At least 4 years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience with written presentation and documentation skills
Desired Skills
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- Experience leading engineering teams with demonstrated experience using AWS Cloud services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, AppFlow, etc. would be highly desired
- Proficiency with specific programming languages: Java, Python, Node.JS and designing tools (ex. Figma)
- Demonstrated experience with User Experience (UX) and front-end design (UI) aspects of software development
- Experience leading teams through DevOps adoption including strong familiarity with Gitlab.
- Experience or knowledge of containerization, configuration management, and API design.
- Experience working in agile environment, working with tools such as JIRA, Confluence
- Experience with API event-driven architecture
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing workflow & orchestration-based capabilities
- Experience in Lean (Agile) practices and ability to drive a culture of adoption to new methods of working.
