The Opportunity

As Director of Field Marketing, Optimization Solutions, you will drive the strategic direction and execution of global marketing initiatives for FICO’s Optimization suite. Our Optimization solutions combine advanced decision science with AI-driven analytics to help organizations enhance decision-making processes and achieve specific business objectives by optimizing outcomes under real-world constraints. In this role, you’ll develop and oversee high-impact marketing programs that increase the reach and effectiveness of FICOs Optimization offerings, combining advanced decision science with AI-driven analytics to elevate client decision-making. Your leadership will enhance FICO’s corporate reputation, establish a market-leading presence, and support revenue growth by aligning marketing strategies with business objectives and client needs. Partnering closely with sales and cross-functional teams, you will shape strategies for lead generation, demand creation, and customer engagement, ensuring our Optimization solutions are seen as the preferred choice for enterprises looking to achieve business goals under complex, real-world constraints. - Hiring Manager

What You’ll Contribute

  • Strategic Leadership & Market Planning.

  • Lead the development and execution of a global, multi-segment field marketing strategy that aligns with FICO’s Optimization solutions roadmap, driving awareness, demand, and customer loyalty. 

  • Deliver strategic insights to regional teams on market segmentation, growth prospects, and high-potential industries, helping shape regional business plans and initiatives that align with FICO’s strategic priorities. 

  • Develop a robust marketing framework that ensures alignment with overall corporate goals, including measurable KPIs and benchmarks for success across lead generation, customer acquisition, and brand positioning. 

  • Account-Based Marketing (ABM) Excellence.

  • Spearhead high-impact, multi-channel demand generation programs and relationship-building initiatives, leveraging ABM to target key accounts with customized, impactful campaigns. 

  • Oversee a range of customer engagement tactics—from one-to-one interactions to large-scale campaigns—empowering sales teams to build and deepen client relationships. 

  • Sales Alignment & Enablement.

  • Act as the executive liaison between field marketing and sales, ensuring all campaigns are aligned with corporate and product priorities. Spend significant time (60-70%) engaging directly with sales teams to gather insights, optimize initiatives, and refine messaging. 

  • Equip sales teams with the insights and tools needed to understand market dynamics, customer needs, and product evolution, helping them meet their revenue targets and expand their client base. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration.

  • Lead cross-functional marketing initiatives that integrate the talents of digital marketing, product marketing, and corporate communications teams, ensuring cohesive, impactful campaigns that resonate with our target audience. 

  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration, actively engaging with product management, client success, and analytics teams to shape compelling, data-backed campaigns that highlight FICO’s Optimization capabilities. 

  • Event Strategy & Execution.

  • Oversee the strategy, planning, and logistics of all Optimization-related events, ensuring these engagements reinforce FICO’s brand and market positioning while delivering significant value to attendees. 

  • Drive event ROI through meticulous planning, from pre-event strategy and audience targeting to post-event follow-up and impact assessment. 

What Were Seeking

  • Deep Marketing Expertise & Leadership.

  • Proven experience in B2B marketing within the technology or software industry, with a strong track record in demand generation, ABM, events, marcom, PR, and digital strategy. 

  • Expertise in building and scaling strategic marketing programs that resonate across diverse markets, with a well-rounded skill set encompassing brand management, market insights, and customer engagement. 

  • Customer-Centric Product Insight.

  • Ability to quickly grasp FICO’s Optimization suite, its roadmap, and how it addresses client challenges; strong understanding of the competitive landscape and evolving market demands. 

  • Strategic Vision + Hands-on Execution.

  • As a visionary leader, you think big but are also adept at executing initiatives, balancing strategic priorities with tactical implementation across sales and marketing functions. 

  • Sales-Focused & Results-Driven.

  • Deep understanding of sales processes and the motivations driving high-performing teams, with experience supporting sales objectives through strategic marketing. 

  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with proficiency in Portuguese is preferred but not required. Flexibility for travel up to 50% of the time.
