The Opportunity
“We are seeking a strategic and proven Head of Product Design to lead the product design and design system team for our core platform and software experience. This role will be responsible for defining and driving a seamless, scalable, and user-centric platform and software experience that empowers our customers and internal teams. As a key role of the product leadership team, you will collaborate cross-functionally including Product Management, Product Engineering, and Architecture to manage and evolve a unified and innovative design system that enhances usability, accessibility, and overall product effectiveness” - Chief Product and Technology officer
What You’ll Contribute
Set and execute the vision for platform and software design, ensuring consistency, scalability, and an intuitive user experience across all offerings.
Define design principles and frameworks that align with business objectives, enabling a frictionless and efficient platform experience.
Champion research-driven design decisions, leveraging user insights, analytics, and industry best practices to improve platform usability.
Work closely with product management, product marketing, engineering, and business stakeholders to align design initiatives with strategic goals.
Develop and refine design systems, ensuring coherence and flexibility as the platform evolves.
Be an internal and external advocate for exceptional product design, driving thought leadership within the company and industry.
Apply the concept of “design thinking” to solve product design needs inclusive of user experience, employing the voice of the customer, product management requirements, and research practices to focus on business needs and outcomes.
Employ required techniques to ensure market-leading design results, including user interviews, customer journey maps, user flow, user experience design, prototyping and validation, spike work, user testing, user interface design, mood board or equivalent, and competitor analysis.
Ensure product design encompasses modern content practices, including content with design, development as code, contextual accessibility, and enablement.
Work in concert with Product Management, Product Marketing, and Engineering in the delivery chain for product development, ensuring activities align with business priorities and achieve desired business outcomes within required timelines.
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing product design team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
What We’re Seeking
Extensive product design experience, with several years in senior leadership roles overseeing platform or product design and design systems.
Proven ability to design scalable, complex digital platforms, with deep experience in UX/UI design, design systems, and interaction patterns.
Extensive knowledge of the existing (e.g., banking, insurance, telco) and emerging industry domains and client business problems which the current product capabilities address.
Strong track record of managing and mentoring design teams, driving talent growth and operational excellence.
Ability to balance long-term vision with iterative improvements that drive measurable impact.
Familiarity with front-end technologies, design system implementation, and accessibility standards.
Excellent storytelling and influencing skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to stakeholders at all levels.
A highly collaborative style – partners effectively with technical and non-technical teams to align goals, drive organizational change, negotiate among competing objectives, resolve issues and achieve consensus.
A strong portfolio showcasing platform design work, system thinking, and leadership impact.
Executive-level presentation skills leveraging data, recommendations and facilitated discussion surrounding opportunities, capabilities, risks and ROI.

The targeted base pay range for this role is: $193,000 to $303,000 with this range reflecting differences in candidate knowledge, skills and experience.
