The Opportunity
 

FICO is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer who thrives working in a fast-paced state of the art Cloud environment. This position will be heavily involved with the migration of our existing products, as well as the development of new products within our cloud platform.” – VP, Cloud Engineering

What You’ll Contribute

  • Design, maintain and expand our infrastructure (maintained as IaC).
  • Oversee systems and resources for alerting, logging, backups, disaster recovery, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to build fault-tolerant and resilient services that adhere to our infrastructure best practices.
  • Improve the performance and durability of our CI/CD pipelines.
  • Prioritize security in all aspects of engineering.


What We’re Seeking

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or relevant experience.
  • Ability to design and implement highly automated and holistic solutions.
  • Serve as the teams technical lead, leading by example and driving projects forward effectively.
  • Hands-on experience with a cloud provider (preferably AWS), including maintaining or deploying production application infrastructure.
  • Significant experience with distributed systems and container orchestration (specifically Kubernetes deployments).
  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, Helm, and Argo CD.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Harness, Argo CD, Crossplane, etc.
  • Strong grasp of Infrastructure as Code (IAC), preferably using Terraform or Crossplane composition.
  • Experience hosting/supporting the Atlassian suite of tools, specifically Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket. 
  • Scripting knowledge in Python/Ruby/Bash.
  • Strong automation mindset and experience using APIs to automate administrative tasks.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Splunk.
