As a Technical Sales Specialist at Fiserv, you will play a crucial role in engaging with prospective customers and assisting clients in aligning their business processes to achieve their short and long-term objectives. With a solid understanding of core applications and surround products, you will rely on your technical and Fiserv knowledge to propose appropriate solutions and bundles to meet the clients needs. Your thought leadership and technical expertise will establish you and Fiserv as a trusted partner to the client. Your main goal is to exceed revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction targets.
What you will do:
- Develop a solid understanding of core applications and surround products to effectively engage with prospective customers
- Assist clients in assessing and aligning their business processes to achieve their short and long-term objectives
- Utilize technical and Fiserv knowledge to propose Fiserv bundles and pan-Fiserv solutions to enable clients to achieve their objectives
- Partner with clients and stakeholders to understand and define technical and cross-functional requirements within proposals or solutions
- Demonstrate thought leadership and technical expertise to establish trust with clients
- Achieve sales quota through contract renewals and the sale of various products and services to assigned client portfolio
- Maintain day-to-day maintenance of daily operations for assigned client portfolio
- Retain customers through proactive contacts, follow-up on issues, and professional contract negotiations
- Stay updated on industry and product knowledge, understand customer needs and concerns, and promote a positive company image
- Support sales initiatives by driving technical architecture design discussions
- Meet or exceed corporate goals regarding revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction with limited direction
What You Will Need To Have:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance, Technology, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred, or equivalent experience with a High School diploma
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical product management or technical sales within the banking industry
- Experience managing and growing relationships with large and complex financial organizations
- Proficiency in sales and negotiating techniques
- Knowledge of providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical sales information and industry regulations
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication and group presentation skills
- Strong organization and multitasking abilities
- Positive attitude, independent problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure
- Willingness to travel up to 50-60% domestically
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
What Would Be Great To Have:
- Additional special training in banking
- Knowledge of Fiserv core products, including integrating new clients with complex requirements
- Fundamental knowledge of computer systems, especially financial data processing systems
Salary Range
$94,200.00-$147,400.00These pay ranges apply to employees in Minnesota. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
