The role:

We have a Senior Director, Product Management role available that will support our Card Processing domain, focusing on debit and credit card processing from authorizations to settlements and end-of-day reconciliation with the networks, sponsor banks, and our clients across the entire Americas. You will own ideating, defining, delivering, and supporting a product roadmap that enables our clients to offer innovative financial services to their customers.

You will work on shaping our current product investments to create a more modern and cloud-based offering and invest in net new products and features that fuel our platform’s growth. As a senior leader of the product team, you will help establish the product management processes, frameworks, team structure, and culture. You will help create and drive the long-term strategy, vision, and roadmap, with a high degree of ownership over critical product areas and the customer experience.

This role is cross-functional—you will work closely with engineering, design, business development, operations, finance, legal, risk, compliance, and executive teams to set product strategy and define and prioritize features. You’ll bridge product, technical, and business worlds by engaging with matrixed teams and you must drive internal stakeholder, client, and partner engagements necessary for the on-time launch of the product.

This is a high visibility role and you will interact with C-level executives inside and outside Galileo. In this role, you will be expected to independently interface and drive discussions and decisions with leaders from product, engineering, business development, operations, and finance.

What you’ll do:

  • Build a vision, and strategy and own a multi-year product roadmap.
  • Be able to drive disruptive innovative solutions in a customer-centric environment.
  • Drive international growth, product strategy, and execution.
  • Break vision into phases, prioritize, and drive backlogs for launch with your dedicated engineering teams.
  • Own instrumentation data and analysis for your products to drive deep understanding, innovation, and product plans.
  • Be able to lead in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Work with internal project stakeholders from marketing, sales/BD, operations, finance, legal, compliance, and executive management to translate customer needs into a product.
  • Be able to work closely with engineering to own and dive deep into backlogs, definition of done, and technical details.
  • Lead extensive framework of experimentation in order to drive customer impact.
  • Build out and manage the product team, processes, and frameworks.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with a technical discipline and 15+ years of product management experience with a passion for building financial platforms OR.
  • An advanced degree or MBA with a BS or higher in computer science is preferred, as well as 12+ years of product management experience with a passion for building financial platforms.
  • 6+ years of product leadership experience in building and managing a team of product managers.
  • Deep expertise in the Fintech industry with knowledge of Card issuing, processing, reconciliation, and payments. Exposure to digital banking is a plus. 
  • Superior communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Experience presenting to C-level leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners.
  • Experience managing complex product development cycles and highly technical solutions.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on deadlines.
  • Ability to work with remote teams.
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
