As the Senior Sourcing Manager - Servers, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and leading the supplier strategy for sourcing products and services for the assigned Global Purchase Family or Regional Commodity. This role requires driving and developing comprehensive strategic relationships through strong technical/market expertise. Job Description
Responsibilities
Drives the sourcing strategy that delivers a competitive advantage including implementation of the strategic supplier initiatives. This includes supplier selection, development, and supplier consolidation to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance
Leads Global Purchase Family or Regional Commodity specific sourcing with full accountability for buy and meeting material deflation targets by setting strategic direction for global or regional sourcing professionals.
Develops strategies and drives negotiations to meet the quality, fulfillment and productivity requirements of the business.
Partners with key business stakeholders to ensure sourced material and services meet the needs of the business.
The role may lead a team of sourcing professional to meet the sourcing requirements of the assigned Global Purchase Family purchasing.
Supports Supplier Quality Program, ensuring supplier compliance with FDA, EHS, transportation and other regulatory and reputation requirements.
Leads the development & execution of sourcing strategic initiatives to ensure optimal cost productivity, fulfillment, and obsolescence/life-cycle management by leveraging standardization and latest industry practices.
Builds deep relationships with Strategic Suppliers Relationships driving early supplier engagement into GE’s New Product Introduction (NPI) process, and long-term partnership for wing-to-wing product lifecycle.
Manage 1-2 direct reports
Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Finance
Minimum of 6 years experience in Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain and/or Commercial background
Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% of time
Desired Characteristics
Experience in Electronics or Compute Industry
Master in Business Administration
10 years solid sourcing, supply chain or commercial experience including 6 years in a leadership capacity
Excellent business/financial acumen, proficient in leading and setting direction for teams, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence and drive change at all levels of the organization
Excellent growth leadership skills demonstrating clear global perspective and understand factors impacting GEHC businesses and our suppliers
Extensive global experience leading cross-functional or geographically dispersed teams
Proven Executive Leadership skills in driving Global change across an organization, including strong Change Acceleration Process skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead courageously, maintaining a strong position amidst opposition to resolve important issues, and ability to navigate through a large complex business.
