As a National Account Director, youll manage key accounts across the nation, implement high-impact strategies to elevate sales and profitability, and lead the way in fostering long-lasting partnerships. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, from executive leadership to operations, ensuring alignment and collaboration across our entire organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Relationship Building: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key accounts, positioning our company and affiliates as preferred providers.

  • Drive Revenue Growth: Develop, execute, and present strategic account plans that align with company sales targets and revenue objectives.

  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends and leverage customer data to identify growth opportunities that drive our business forward.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate across departments—product, underwriting, IT, and finance—to ensure roadmaps and communication for key initiatives remain aligned, proactively identify and address concerns or issues and establish staffing plans to grow production to goals. Partner closely with senior leadership to monitor budget, forecasting and resource planning while finding opportunities for budget efficiencies.

  • Performance Analysis: Regularly monitor sales performance and recommend actionable insights to boost results.

  • Expand Reach: Identify and pursue new target agencies, expand market share, and drive preference for our commercial and personal lines products.

  • Agency onboarding and enablement: Collect and elevate opportunities to improve the agent experience, driving preference and sales.

  • Talent Development: Lead, coach, and build the next generation of account management talent, aligning them with business goals, supporting their growth and conducting performance management.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience as an executive sales resource managing key accounts.

  • Bachelors degree in a business or related field - MBA a plus.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading, developing and translating agency sales strategy into measurable result , drive growth, and lead impactful account strategies.

  • Skilled in market data and trend analysis, forecasting and identifying innovative approaches to increase agency sales revenue.

  • Experience collaborating with key resources and stakeholders, influencing decisions and managing cross functional work to achieve both short-and-long term strategic goals.

  • Attention to detail and ability to navigate fast-paced environments and embrace change.

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills to engage with all levels of leadership.

  • Experience with design thinking, agile methods and product management experience required.

  • Compliance with GEICO’s driving standards and/or policy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in the personal and commercial lines and related coverages in all sizes and shapes of agencies.

  • Proven record of accomplishment hiring, managing, and developing Associates to achieve high performance.

  • MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred.

Location: Remote, or available office with travel up to 75%

Annual Salary

$128,000.00 - $224,000.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
