We are seeking a creative, forward-thinking Senior eLearning Developer to join our team and help foster positive change via bespoke learning experiences. In this role, the ideal candidate will design and develop engaging, high-quality courses that empower associates with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.
As a key player in the end-to-end course development process, the incumbent will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) from a wide variety of corporate functions to assess business problems and expertly create modern design solutions that elevate thinking, challenge status quo, and meet the needs of our evolving workforce. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and delivering business and regulatory required training as well as crafting dynamic curricula that will equip new hied associates—especially those without insurance experience—with a strong understanding of the organization’s diverse roles and functions.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing multimedia learning content including eLearning, blended learning, instructional videos, interactive software simulations, and microlearning solutions that incorporate modern learning technologies, methodologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and Develop Learning Solutions: Create visually compelling and instructionally sound digital learning experiences including e-learning courses, micro learning modules, instructional videos, complex software simulations, gamified learning, or other approaches to meet the evolving needs of the modern learner.
Data Orientation: Use business and learning delivery data to inform learning design and development.
Multimedia Creation: Design and develop multimedia elements such as graphics, animations videos, or audio content to enhance learner engagement and retention.
User-Centered Design: Use instructional design principles along with UX/UI design best practices to create learner centric experiences that are engaging, accessible, and easy to navigate. Shifts learning focus from trainer delivered to learner-centered models that promote engagement, self-paced learning, and real-world application.
Learning Management System (LMS) Integration: Ensure all digital content is optimized for and properly integrated into GEICO’s LMS (Workday) or other delivery platforms (TBD) supporting various formats (e.g., SCORM, xAPI).
Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Keep pace with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in digital learning and apply best practices in instructional design. Possess a deep understanding and application of adult learning theory.
Technical Proficiency: Resolve complex technical challenges, including technical support for digital adoption software.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with instructional designers (ISDs), SMEs, eLearning developers, facilitators, and management to ensure learning solution accuracy and relevancy, while executing plans that meet business objectives.
Project Management: Lead multiple projects through the appropriate agile planning, analysis, design, development, and publication while acting as a peer mentor, providing feedback, guidance, and support to team members.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 to 7 years of corporate experience with developing highly technical digital learning solutions
Bachelors degree in instructional/graphic design, instructional technology, digital media design, user experience/user interface, learning and development or related fields
Demonstrated knowledge applying modern learning techniques including digital learning tools, instructional design, and learner experience design & learning management systems to learning solutions
Highly proficiency using e-learning development software and virtual collaboration tools
Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously while motivating teams to meet deadlines
Demonstrated experience in delivering innovative learning solutions leading to improved learning outcomes
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team in an agile environment
Creative and forward-thinking mindset with a passion for innovation, positive disruption and learning and development
Extensive software experience with expert proficiency in four or more tools: Articulate Storyline, HTML5, JavaScript, Adobe Creative Suite, Video/Audio production, and Gamification Platforms
Proven and extensive portfolio showcasing digital learning design solutions
Preferred:
Experience creating modern learning solutions for large scale call center environments
Experience with Workday LMS features such as campaigns, programs, courses, lessons, and customization
Experience with designing for VR/AR application
Experience with AI design-based content design and development tools
This is a hybrid role, in the office 3/days a week

Annual Salary
$73,800.00 - $141,450.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
