An opportunity has arisen for a Cloud Support Analyst to join our PCPT (Prime Cloud Platform Team) in Nicosia, Cyprus. PCPT is focused on supporting our growing cloud business for PiTC (Prime in The Cloud). Our cloud platform involves a collection of multiple components forming our processing solution hosted in multiple cloud regions.
The successful candidate, after a period of training which will include familiarization with the products, processes, technology stack and development tools, will engage into the on-going transformation of our cloud platform. The complexity of the assigned tasks will be initially lower with guidance from the technical leaders with a long-term goal and target to be able to deliver complex tasks with minimum guidance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor the costs of the PiTC (Prime in The Cloud) platforms per region. Identify, recommend, coordinate, and implement cost optimization possibilities for Prime Applications and cloud services running in regions we operate.
- Set, automate, and create monthly, annual monitoring reports presenting statistics to identify cost saving opportunities.
- Set budgets, track cost metrics, conduct analysis and follow up on alerts to control and apply correction on cost anomalies.
- Ensure there is a well written set of documentation for the cloud services that are being used along with the relevant cost.
- Work with the team management to define and be responsible for standards in relation to compute resources sizing and calculation, monitoring standards for the Prime Application, processes, and applicability of the standards across all regions.
- Closely collaborate with the Network, DevOps, and Security teams to guarantee compliance with standards and procedures.
- Provide support on platform infrastructure, support the sales and business, create and maintain presentation on PiTC, present and explain to clients in coordination with the architect’s team, DevOps or other teams etc.
- Interacts with a diverse range of leaders, including senior management, executive leadership and clients to determine reporting requirements or statistics required relation our cloud operating model.
- Participates in client facing meetings and internal development team working sessions to determine solution approach for monitoring and costs reporting.
- Reviews deliverables for content, accuracy, and potential system impacts for assigned tasks. Reviews deliverables for alignment with objectives and provides feedback and recommendations.
The successful candidate should have the following experience and skills:
- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or discipline such as Information Technology/Systems or related cloud knowledge in lieu of a degree.
- Cloud Certifications, AWS, Azure, or GCP qualifications (for example, AWS Certified Practitioner or Certified Solutions Architect).
- Hands-on experience with aws platform tools and services, good knowledge of Cost Explorer and/or Cloud Health will be considered an advantage.
- Expert business knowledge and how the technology s/he is leading provides solutions to the business.
- Demonstrated excellent problem-solving abilities and an ability to identify opportunities for standards and process improvement.
- Strong client service focus and willingness to respond to queries and provide deliverables within prompt timeframes.
- Technical skills in Linux, Java, JavaScript, Kafka, Oracle, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, Jenkins, basic programming (any language) will be considered an advantage.
- A high-level understanding of Agile methodology.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
