Highlight is looking for an Event Marketing Specialist to assist in the planning, coordination and management of various small to mid sized B2B events and internal events (virtual and in-person). This entry-level role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event management, working alongside collaborative marketing and sales teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, creative, and able to manage multiple projects while delivering high-quality results within tight deadlines.
Your Impact
- Event Support: Assist in the planning, organization, and management of events, such as conferences, internal events, and customer engagement programs.
- Event Communications: Draft event briefings and communications for internal teams and external stakeholders, both before and after the event.
- Collaboration: Work with internal teams and external vendors to support project plans and ensure smooth coordination between all parties involved in the event.
- Vendor Coordination: Assist in coordinating with external vendors such as venues, shipping, printing, and production companies to meet event requirements.
- Budget Support: Assist in finalizing and reconciling event budgets by keeping detailed and organized receipt records.
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Approximately 1-2 years of experience in marketing, event planning, or internships in related fields.
- Proficient in using G-Suite applications including Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Proficient in using Canva. Familiarity with HubSpot is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of event management and marketing principles.
- Creative, proactive, and resourceful with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly interpersonal, capable of building trust and respect, and driven to succeed.
- This is a remote position; however, candidates based in New York City, Chicago, or Austin are preferred but not required. Regardless of location, there will be some travel required to and from events.

- Based on previous experience and skillset, the starting salary range for this position: $75,000 - $95,000
