About the Role:
Hims is looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Learning Manager with a strong background in sterile compounding pharmacy operations to join our team in Los Alamitos, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive learning and development programs tailored to the sterile compounding environment.
With an emphasis on compliance, precision, and industry best practices, you will develop training programs that ensure adherence to sterile compounding protocols and other regulatory standards. This position involves program administration, training coordination, and delivery of content specific to the sterile compounding process paths within the Pharmacy.
You will partner closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, quality teams, and other key stakeholders to identify learning needs, implement robust training strategies, and foster continuous professional development. This role plays a critical part in ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and associate engagement in this highly regulated and dynamic environment.
You Will:
- Design, implement, and manage training programs specific to sterile compounding operations, ensuring compliance and company-specific protocols.
- Oversee onboarding and ongoing training for sterile compounding associates, focusing on aseptic techniques, cleanroom procedures, hazardous drug handling, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and quality assurance teams to ensure all training materials meet regulatory requirements and operational goals.
- Lead Train-the-Trainer programs to empower subject matter experts and supervisors to deliver consistent and effective training across shifts.
- Conduct Leadership training.
- Conduct competency assessments and provide feedback to ensure associates are proficient and compliant in their roles.
- Create and update training materials, including presentations, e-learnings, and multimedia content, ensuring they are up-to-date, relevant, and engaging.
- Leverage learning management systems (LMS) and other e-learning platforms to deliver online training modules and track employee progress and completion.
- Implement and manage automation features within the LMS, such as course enrollment, progress tracking, and reminders, to enhance efficiency, streamline learning experiences, and ensure timely completion of required training.
- Ensure training programs comply with industry regulations and standards.
- Track and analyze training performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize learning outcomes.
- Facilitate courses or learning sessions with all process job roles and with Leadership as needed.
- Track all training conducted across shifts and areas.
- Maintain daily communication with Operations, HR, Safety, Recruiting, and other teams
- Conduct remediation training as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of operation processes for ongoing assessment of the training process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
You Have:
- 5+ years of successful training experience and demonstrated proficiency in delivering and creating training.
- 5+ years leading a team within a training/learning, HR, or similar function.
- 5+ years in Operations or process improvement role.
- 2+ years of experience in sterile compounding, pharmacy operations, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of quality systems in 503b environments.
- Instructional design experience using ADDIE, TWI model, or similar
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Strong prioritization and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient knowledge of computers and applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Docs and Gmail.
- Understanding of fulfillment/distribution center/warehouse processes and flow.
- Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
- Able to work flexible schedules/shifts as needed for 7-day operation.
- Proven skills for planning daily/weekly tasks and adapting to competing demands.
- Strong skills in developing relationships across all levels and functions.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as LEAN or Six Sigma
- Must be willing to travel 10-30% of the time.

Conditions of Employment:
- This position will require working with Hazardous Drugs (HD) and would require that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) be worn for the length of working with these drugs. These items would include gloves, respiratory protection, gown and other items as required.
- This position requires medical approval to wear respiratory protection in the form of negative or positive pressure respirators, including N95, full face respirator, SCBA, or Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR).
- Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking up to 50% of the time, standing up to 100% of the time, squatting and bending up to 20% of the time and lifting up to 80% of the time for up to a twelve hour shift. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Due to the risk of reproductive capability in handling or compounding certain Hazardous Drugs (HD) associates must be willing to confirm that they understand the potential risks (teratogenicity, carcinogenicity and reproductive effects) of handling hazardous drugs.

The actual amount will take into account a range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and location.
