Humana is rapidly evolving from an insurance company with elements of health to a healthcare company with elements of insurance. We are embarking on an ambitious journey to implement a new Member Administration Platform and further our evolution towards a customer-centric operating model.

As a member of the Enrollment Modernization team, you will help us transform our enrollment process and ensure the highest level of care for our customers. This team will have a large focus on technology modernization but also a focus on culture and operations – to embrace modern cloud-based technologies and engineering, agile ways of working & Agile methodologies, Devops, and a culture that is focused on enterprise leadership, our customers and our associates.

The Senior Full Stack Engineer Is involved in all stages of software development, including front-end development, back-end development, database integrations, network and hosting management, user interface, user experience, and back-end server management. Begins to influence department’s strategy.  

In support of our MAP applications, the ideal candidate will partner with other associates to analyze, develop, implement and integrate moderate and complex business systems that will optimize business outcomes.   

  • Perform analysis of requirements, development of code, and support User Acceptance Testing.  

  • Coding will require the use of Oracle DB, Oracle OHI, Groovy, Micro Services, JavaScript, Kafka, Azure Devops, Terraform, streamsets, APIC, NodeJS, Kubernetes, Python and supporting batch and real time communications.  

  • In addition, front end development will be required to support and enhance user interfaces developed for our business users to support monitoring and reviewing outbound communications.  

  • Support occasional after hours support in support of our systems. 

  • Provide development and ongoing software support and issue resolution 

  • Build a standards-driven, scalable, secure and dynamic portal for the information delivery of specific based applications 

  • Partner with other business areas within Humana to understand application requirements and develop programming specifications for development staff 

  • Develop enhancements, resolve issues, coordinate testing of statement releases and oversee regular production efforts including DevOps activities. 

          

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field 

  • 5 or more years of experience designing, developing, and testing of software applications and/or infrastructure 

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences 

  • Proficiency in .NET, Java, and/or Python development 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Masters Degree 

  • Knowledgeable in Appian Platform and Development 

  • Experience in development with containerization 

  • Strong security discipline

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$106,900 - $147,000 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
