We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Program Manager to lead our team supporting the DISA J9 Host and Computer Center (HaC) Program Management Office (PMO). This organization is responsible for delivering multiple high-visibility and high-impact initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall success of the contract which includes overseeing complex IT projects, ensuring alignment with DISA J9 strategic objectives, and driving successful project delivery across the J9 portfolio. If you have a strong background in federal program management, a deep understanding of government operations, and IT competency/literacy in cloud environments and software developmentwe invite you to join our passionate team to make a significant impact on how the warfighter uses IT. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Program Management: Lead and manage multiple IT, engineering, and acquisition programs, ensuring timely and successful delivery of projects within scope and quality standards. 

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of ~50+ IT, acquisitionand operational staff, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting professional growth and development. 

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement IT and acquisition strategies that support DISA J9 HaC PMO business objectives, enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness. 

  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to streamline operations and increase productivity. 

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on program progress, risks, and mitigation strategies. 

  • Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, managing the contract budgets, timelines, and project scopes to achieve desired outcomes. 

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to address issues proactively and ensure program success. 

  • Collaboration and Compliance: Facilitate communication with peer organizations, senior leadership, HaC PMO offices, and coordinate with the government strategic communications group. Ensure all activities comply with DoD and DISA regulations, mandates, standards, policies, and guidelines. 

 

Required Experience: 

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in IT and Acquisition, DoD preferred 

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Program Manager successfully managing multiple, concurrent task orders with an aggregate annual value over $10M 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project ManagementProgram Management, Business Administration or related field; Master’s Degree preferred 

  • PMP Certification  

  • Active DoD Top Secret / Top Secret with SCI Eligibility Clearance 

  • Strong organizational, coordination, and leadership skills 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities 

  • Experience with government (DoD) budget management and resource allocation 

  • Familiarity with security engineering, RMF support, office automation systems and cloud service solutions  

  • Proven track record of successfully leading a cross-functional team across various regions 

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality 

  • Proficiency with modern office tools and technology 

 

Additional Preferred Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs): Amazon Web Services (AWS)Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Oracle cloud environments  

  • Demonstrated experience & success employing Agile methodologies and frameworks  

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail 

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously 

  • DoD Program Management Experience preferred
