Whats the opportunity?
Were looking for a versatile senior copywriter to join the Intercom Creative Studio. Intercom has a lot of high-visibility projects coming up this year, and we need someone who can jump in and hit the ground running with us.
We need you to be: a reliable senior copywriter with the ability to take brand and product messaging and generate benefit-driven copy and iterate quickly.
Youll also need to be comfortable with quick pivots, direct feedback, and ready to roll with the punches of a high-growth startup.
We love the big ideas writers, but we seriously sweat the details. You need absolute mastery of English and high proficiency in AP Style, and UX writing best practices. We need an expert-level editor and proofreader because our creative team makes a lot and it all has to go out perfect.
We are only considering candidates who are available to come into our San Francisco office twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
What will I be doing?
- Writing clear, concise, and bold marketing copy
- Writing for paid ads, video scripts, podcast ads, emails, internal projects, and other assets as needed
- Balancing copywriting excellence with a need for speed and a focus on success metrics
- Bringing storytelling and strategic thinking to each project
- Editing and proofreading your own work (and, at times, the work of others)
- Partnering with designers, producers, marketers, product experts, company leaders, and external agencies to drive projects forward in a highly iterative and agile environment
- Presenting concepts and work as needed
- Guiding and mentoring freelance contract writers
What skills do I need?
- 7-9 years of copywriting experience (with some B2B or tech experience)
- A portfolio that shows both creative thinking and an ability to make complex info easily digestible
- A strategic brain
- Strong editing and proofreading skills
- A talent for working independently and staying organized
- The ability to effectively present and justify ideas to stakeholders
- The ability to confidently navigate ambiguous projects
- A roll-up-your-sleeves, positive attitude
- Familiarity with writing to design and collaborating within Figma and other design tools
