Ironclad is accelerating its AI initiatives, starting with the successful launch of Jurist AI. Were seeking a seasoned Senior/Staff Software Engineer to spearhead the scaling of Jurist and drive the implementation of our broader LLM strategy. This role offers the opportunity to provide critical technical leadership and shape the future of AI-powered legal solutions.
As a key member of our AI Incubation team, youll be instrumental in designing and building scalable LLM platforms, mentoring engineers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality SaaS products. We value strong coding fundamentals, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect and implement scalable LLM solutions across Ironclads product ecosystem.
Provide technical direction and mentorship to a high-performing engineering team.
Contribute to and enhance our TypeScript codebase using agile methodologies.
Evaluate and integrate emerging LLM technologies.
Utilize data-driven decision-making through product and engineering metrics.
Participate in team growth through interviewing and mentoring.
Develop data-intensive solutions to support Ironclads scaling efforts.
Qualifications:
Strong experience with TypeScript, ReactJS, Node.js, Docker, and Kubernetes on GCP (or equivalent).
3-5+ years of experience in building and maintaining scalable systems.
Experience in developing GenAI or traditional ML/AI-powered products.
Demonstrated technical leadership and architectural expertise.
A passion for delivering high-quality software products.
Proven experience in shipping production-ready products with user feedback.
A commitment to code and product quality.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong software engineering fundamentals.
(Preferred) Experience with 0-to-1 product development, prompt engineering, or product experimentation.

Base Salary Range:
Senior Software Engineer: $160,000 - $175,000
Staff Software Engineer: $190,000 - $210,000
The base salary range represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position based at our San Francisco headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors, including individual proficiency, anticipated performance, and the location of the selected candidate. Our base salary is just one component of Ironclad’s competitive total rewards package, which also includes equity awards (a new hire grant, along with opportunities for additional awards throughout your tenure), competitive health and wellness benefits, and a commitment to career growth and development.
