This is a highly visible and influential position within the Corporate and BU Finance group of Juniper Networks.  Directly responsible for driving deal and list pricing strategies and policies, utilizing analytics and reporting to evolve pricing behaviour over time. Business partnering with both the GTM organization and the Product Management organization to drive optimal pricing aligned with company strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading a small team of experienced finance professionals.  These roles are pivotal in reviewing critical deals for the best outcome from a company perspective, bridging between product management and go to market.
  • Creating value tracking analytics for deal approvals, pricing behaviour and recommending appropriate actions based on findings. 
  • Working closely with product management and BU finance, responsible for list price setting, new product pricing, pricing reviews, promotion support and having a vision to the future – recommending and reviewing pricing models for evolving solutions;  and using competitive and market analysis to respond to macro events. 
  • Providing input and presenting to the Pricing Steerco, analysing pricing behaviour and external events to recommend opportunities and mitigations.
  • Finance representative on ELA, consumption models and other new models as proposed by PLMs.
  • Ensuring the growth and evolution of the pricing strategy team. 
  • Collaborates with many cross functional and cross-geo teams to ensure pricing strategy can be met with operational capability, and ensuring the field is enabled with the right pricing knowledge.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in Pricing Strategy, Pricing Operations, Field Controllership, Product  Management required.
  • BS and/or MS in Business Administration, or equivalent.
  • Leadership experience and demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team of skilled individuals.
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting standards associated with revenue recognition.
  • Knowledge of financial service offerings and their value in proposals.
  • Thorough understanding of the sales cycle and sales processes.
  • Strong business acumen with excellent communication skills – able to adapt for all levels of the organization.
  • Adept at business partnering and developing meaningful relationships in cross functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working in a Pricing role would be a strong benefit in this position.
  • Expert analytical ability – leveraging the analytics team but understanding complex datapoints and being able to guide the analysis to meaningful outcomes – both from a data perspective and for the visuals to convey the message.
  • Experience of the technology industry and technical product knowledge are strong advantages in this role.
  • Experience leading a team across multiple timezones an advantage.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure, whilst ensuring management chains are fully informed.

  • Based in the head office, travel requirements are limited for this position.

 

Minimum Salary: $202,400.00

Maximum Salary:$290,950.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $202,400.00 and $290,950.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
