We are seeking a Global Infrastructure Engineer to join KLA’s Global Engineering and Operational Standards (GEOS) team. This high-impact role is responsible for running and standardizing critical infrastructure systems across our global facilities, with a specialized focus on process utilities that support advanced environments such as cleanrooms, labs, and manufacturing spaces.
Based at KLA’s global headquarters in Milpitas, CA, this role will drive infrastructure evaluations, collaborate multi-functionally with collaborators around the world, and provide technical leadership to ensure scalable, resilient, and high-performing facility systems.
What You’ll Do
Lead global infrastructure assessments across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and process utility systems (e.g., CDA, vacuum, exhaust, process cooling water, DI water, LN₂)
Develop and drive adoption of design requirements, system specifications, and operational strategies for infrastructure and utility systems
Act as technical lead for process utility design, installation, and validation—including submittal reviews, P&IDs, isometrics, and metering strategies
Coordinate and approve engineering decisions on infrastructure scope during capital projects, tenant improvements, and site expansions
Support infrastructure master planning by modeling system loads, evaluating existing capacity, and identifying future risk areas
Specify and support deployment of sensors and instrumentation to enable system supervising through BMS and digital twin platforms
Collaborate with Facilities Operations and Capital Projects to ensure infrastructure performance aligns with business continuity and resiliency goals
Partner with ESG and EHS to mitigate infrastructure-related risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and support data collection for environmental reporting
Give field-verified infrastructure data to BIM models and digital twins to enable accurate as-builts and system simulations
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with utility metering, system commissioning, and infrastructure master planning
Familiarity with international codes and cleanroom/technical facility standards
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or Facilities Engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years of proven experience
Proven experience in infrastructure or process utilities engineering, preferably in high-tech, R&D, or semiconductor facilities
Expertise in technical systems supporting cleanrooms, labs, or manufacturing—particularly process gases, liquids, and exhaust systems
Proficient in technical drawing review and redlining (P&IDs, schematics, 3D models)
Ability to lead technical design reviews, resolve complex issues, and communicate across global teams
