Leidos is looking for a Data Literacy Program Lead to join our Chief Data & Analytics Office within our Digital Modernization sector.

In this role, you will lead efforts to raise the organization’s overall level of data literacy and foster a data-driven culture, in support of delivering measurable business outcomes. Leveraging your understanding of the business objectives, goals, and industry domain expertise, as well as Data Analytics concepts, methods, and techniques, you will build advocacy for a cultural shift toward data transparency, information governance, and Data & Analytics (D&A) literacy. In addition, you will work regularly with leadership across our organization to facilitate the data-driven vision, strategy and operating models. Develop and implement plans to address both data literacy skills and data-driven culture among the workforce.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Gain new competitive advantages by capitalizing on enterprise-wide Data Literacy to drive strategic decision-making and enhance business operations.
  • Inspirationally communicate the business value proposition of data realized though the optimized use of company information assets implemented within a SMART (specific, measurable, actionable, realistic, time-bound) framework that defines benefits for both the organization as a whole and for individual stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with profit & loss (P&L) business stakeholders to identify organizational data literacy needs and establish a tailored curriculum designed to build and reinforce an enterprise scale data-driven culture, mindset and upskill the D&A knowledge of employees at all levels.
  • Secure funding and resourcing for data literacy and data-driven culture change by advocating for the business monetization of D&A.
  • Collaborate with the Organization Change Management organization within the CIO to promote awareness and assess the effectiveness of data literacy initiatives by establishing and tracking performance metrics, learner feedback and continuously improvement recommendations.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data literacy and incorporate relevant practices into the data literacy program and curriculum.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar field and 12+ years of relevant data science experience. 
  • Experience and knowledge of Data Management and Data Governance principles
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a focus on stakeholder engagement and communication.
  • Business Process Transformation experience
  • Demonstrated strong oral and written communication
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently specifically in crating solutions with business and Technical team members
  • Adaptability to new challenges with a strong motivation to grow and learn in new areas
  • US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • General knowledge of Leidos business practices and overall corporate functions and organization
  • Analytics and Business Intelligence practitioner knowledge
  • Data Science and AI training, for example graph analysis, machine learning and natural language processing.
  • Experience working with structured, semistructured and unstructured data
  • Statistical skills, for example understanding the difference between correlation and causation

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
