  • Perform technical tasks as assigned, including software development, technical analysis/research, debugging/testing, etc.
  • Attend team meetings and agile ceremonies and participate in the software engineering lifecycle
  • Analyze and improve code and participate in code peer review process to ensure the highest degree of software quality
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with Leidos team members as well as SSA leaders in all team meetings/discussions
  • All other duties as assigned or directed

FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS (Basic Qualifications)

  • Working on a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field. 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.
  • Understanding of the Java programming language and working understanding of all language constructs such as collections, streams, lambdas, threads, garbage collection, etc.
  • Understanding of Spring / Spring Boot or other dependency injection / IoC framework
  • Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Rest Assured and/or other Java testing frameworks/tools
  • Understanding of RESTful API design principles and general HTTP web service utilization patterns

*** Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of SSA Headquarters in Woodlawn, MD OR be willing to relocate prior to first day of employment

FACTORS TO HELP YOU SHINE (Required Skills)

These skills will help you succeed in this position:

  • Experience with one or more frameworks such as AngularJS, jQuery, ReactJS, and Express/Node.js
  • Experience using Git, Maven, etc.
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • The passion and drive to expand coding skills

HOW TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD (Desired Skills)

Showcase your knowledge of modern development through the following experience or skills:

  • Experience with modern software development tools (e.g. CI/CD) including Bitbucket, Jenkins, VersionOne/Agility, Jira, Confluence, etc.
  • Experience with Apache POI, iText, PDFBox, and other similar libraries for file format conversion
  • Tableau / reporting experience

Pay Range:

Pay Range $44,850.00 - $81,075.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
