As our Employee Experience Lead, you will have the critical task of developing and driving initiatives that foster Lumos Culture! You will be a people advocate, owning New Hire onboarding, organizing company-wide off-sites and events, and instilling our company values in everything we do.

✨ Your Role

  • Create & Own a World-Class New Hire Onboarding Program: Create a unique and engaging onboarding program. You’ll serve as new hires’ and cross-functional teams’ primary point of contact for onboarding, ensuring they have all materials necessary to succeed. You will view employees as your customers- ensuring to exceed their expectations and set Lumos’s culture from day one.
  • Enhance and Scale our Company Culture Globally: Own recognition programs and help us celebrate important moments for our teams(i.e. celebrating Birthdays, Anniversaries, and large life moments!). Organize monthly virtual events to foster collaboration and bonding, create a connection structure for our “hub” cities and overall drive authentic engagement for our remote-first company.
  • Event Planning Expert: Set the strategy and own flawless execution of our annual company-wide off-sites, bi-annual team co-working weeks and lead off-sites. Partner with Lumos’s leadership team to organize and run company-wide meetings, including All Hands, Monthly Feedback Sessions, and founder lunches.
  • Dig into Business Operations: Partner with Biz Ops and the People team to improve business operations procedures, ensure continuous engagement from Alchemists through Q&As and surveys, and drive initiatives from employee feedback.
  • San Francisco HQ Operations: Own the in-person experience for our SF HQ! From in-person events to keeping our HQ team fueled with great snacks- this role will be our local point of contact and support for our office. Please note that this role is hybrid out of our SF office- we’ll work with your schedule and ask that you do the same!
  • Culture Carrier: Continue to evolve the cultural programs, values and company pillars as the employee experience lead. You exhibit our values to the highest degree and are a trustworthy partner to all. You are passionate about modern remote-first workforces and work to craft our culture to be inclusive and celebratory of all.

🙌 What Were Looking For: 

  • 5+ years of experience in roles such as employee experience/ culture, office management, event planning, or a related field with a strong focus on culture and experience design.
  • Proven track record of independently planning and executing engaging and highly organized company-wide events and off-sites.
  • Impeccable communication, stakeholder management and project management skills.
  • Strong presentation skills with a background in facilitation, learning and development or onboarding.
  • Data-driven with a proven ability to gather insights, identify trends, and translate data into impactful culture and employee recognition strategies.
  • Nice to have: People Operations/HR experience, this role sits on our People team and will work closely with our People Lead & HR Generalist- filling in where needed with facilitation needs, people program support and communication strategies.

💰Pay Range

$110,000- $139,000 Note that this range is a good faith estimate of likely pay for this role; upon hire, the pay may differ due to skill and/or level of experience.
