We are seeking a Principal Data Scientist | ML. This role will be responsible for technical leadership as well as hands-on contribution to the data science team at Machinify. It requires a deep technical background, strong leadership skills, and the ability to innovate & build in a fast-paced environment.

What you will do:

Provide high level technical direction & guidance to a team of Senior and Staff Data Scientists, enabling them to do their best work
Execute hands-on as a senior member of the team supporting our Pay product
Develop code to execute payment policies as automated software. Contribute to improving the software architecture.
Measure the effect of policy changes on healthcare payments. Use data to identify areas for policy improvement. Report
Collaborate with the leadership team to define key technical and business metrics and objectives

What you bring:

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Deep, highly technical data science experience
Several years in a leadership role
Startup experience is a big plus
Proven track record of managing data teams and delivering complex, high-impact products from concept to deployment
Intimate knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices in data security
Exceptional team management abilities, with experience in building and leading high-performing teams
Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
Ability to drive change and inspire a distributed team
