At Maersk, were looking for an experienced and hands-on IT Technology Associate Technician to join our Onsite Technology team. Youll be the go-to person for all IT support needs in Guayaquil, ensuring smooth operations for both office and warehouse staff. ## LI-MP1

  • Location: Guayaquil, Ecuador | Onsite | Supporting Office & Warehouses (250–300 users)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
  • Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite IT support to office and warehouse staff in Guayaquil, ensuring excellent service for up to 300 users.
  • Support and manage end-user devices, including laptops, desktops, mobile phones, printers, and AV/video conferencing systems.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software, including Windows OS, Office 365, and device peripherals.
  • Handle asset management and mobile device management, ensuring equipment readiness and inventory accuracy.
  • Manage network and infrastructure components (LAN, WiFi, cabling), and support troubleshooting of IP addressing and subnetting issues.
  • Be the point of contact for incident management, logging and following up on tickets via ServiceNow (SNOW) – prior experience in SNOW is a plus but not required.
  • Collaborate with global and regional IT teams, including remote support from India, to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Act as the local focal point for IT initiatives, infrastructure improvements, and testing of new IT services or developments.
  • Support coordination with external vendors, especially related to infrastructure (e.g., cabling, networking, conferencing setups).
  • Participate in regular bilingual meetings (English/Spanish) and clearly communicate technical solutions to users.
  • Provide VIP support and ensure high service levels for leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Help build IT awareness by guiding users, offering clear explanations, and delivering user-friendly solutions.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years in IT support roles (end-user & infrastructure).
  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a high sense of urgency.
  • Fluent in written English; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge in: Windows OS, Office 365 (MUST), LAN, WiFi. Power BI is a plus.
  • Patient, service-oriented, and comfortable handling recurring user requests.
