The FLEX Director, Engineering – Project Manager is responsible for overseeing climate-related sustainability reporting and risk management, as well as the deployment and supervision of the Associate Alert Program. This role works to ensure the company has the structures in place to adhere to global standards for measuring and reporting on Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) metrics. They stay up to date on regulatory changes, assess climate-related risks, develop policies, and maintain the Engineering Dashboard. For the Associate Alert Device Program, the FLEX Director is responsible for enhancing existing systems, managing vendor relationships, resolving issues, and creating resources to support the needs of various stakeholders.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
· 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Administration or a related field OR a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge can be gained.
· 8+ years of work experience in operations, consulting, or professional area.
· Power User level ability with Microsoft Office 365 Suite including advanced analytical skills using Microsoft Excel and PowerBI.
Preferred
- Experience in sustainability reporting, operational risk management, and data analysis with ability to synthesize and summarize data effectively and communicate through written and presentation skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills: ability to manage relationships with senior management, functional departments, vendors/consultants, and internal/external customers.
· Strong project management skills.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
- Oversee and manage the implementation and reporting of Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) metrics related to climate risks.
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of CSRD/ESRS metrics regarding climate change mitigation, financial materiality, and impact materiality.
- Identify and assess climate-related risks and opportunities, conduct resilience analysis, and integrate findings into business operations and strategy.
- Recommend and oversee the development and implementation of policies related to climate change mitigation and adaptation, ensuring alignment with ESRS requirements.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes, industry best practices, and emerging trends to continuously improve the organizations reporting processes.
- Oversee the development of a comprehensive approach to operational risk management and tracking.
- Track adherence to global standards and regulatory requirements.
- Create processes for tracking incidents required for regulatory reporting.
- Maintain and enhance the Engineering Dashboard, providing comprehensive insights into property compliance and performance focusing on adherence to standards and the execution of maintenance activities.
- Pinpoint hotels that require immediate attention due to issues such as misconfiguration or subpar performance.
- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of the Associate Alert Device Program.
- Identify opportunities for improving the Associate Alert Device program, including the integration of innovative technologies and enhancements to existing systems.
- Ensure that vendors adhere to the agreed-upon service levels and contractual obligations.
- Identify and resolve issues and risks, provide updates to leadership, and facilitate meetings and reviews.
- Define and manage processes and communications across multiple vendors and partners.
- Leverage best-in-class change management and deployment models and methodologies (i.e., stakeholder assessments, Land-It-Task lists) to provide consistent processes, tools, and services to properties.
· Create resource pages, platform dashboards, tools, and resources to support the data for various executive leader needs.
- Approximately 25% travel required.
The pay range for this position is $56.58 to $86.92 per hour.
Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.0334 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 9 holidays annually.
