Job Description

The Director, Continuous Improvement is a key leadership position within the Strategy and Business Development function, responsible executing the CI strategy and approach.  This position provides technical and strategic direction to identify and address business issues and engage with other departments to sustain, improve, and streamline processes within all disciplines of Strategy and Business Development.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate the MasterBrand Way culture by utilizing the tools and methodologies of the MasterBrand Business System while driving change
  • Utlize continuous improvement tools, processes and systems to better quality, efficiency, cost and reduce waste overall
  • Lead business and functional teams to analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing business processes and develop sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable process improvements.
  • Serve as a coach of 6S, Kaizen events, Standard Work, Daily Management, A3 Problem Solving, Value Stream Maps and related process improvement methodologies through hands-on participation. 
  • Lead Strategy and Business Development leaders to deploy, improve and sustain standard work for key processes
  • Develop and sustain a funnel of kaizen events that support the strategy and cost improvement targets
  • Support the development of the strategy, priorities and goals
  • Understand and apply financial drivers and key performance indicators.
  • Document best practices and shares improvements to leverage results

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 7 years of work experience required
  • Background in Lean transformation, preferably in Product Development or Product Marketing functions.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification and/or Qualifications
  • Change leadership skills and experience leading cultural change to a Lean environment
