Job Description

MasterBrand Cabinets Inc. – a leader in the U.S. Cabinet Manufacturing Industry - is looking for an enthusiastic, results-oriented Product & Design Trainer to join a high-performing and passionate team responsible for the strategic planning and execution of the MasterBrand’s Stock and Semi-Custom Cabinet Business Unit. Specifically, this trainer will own the training for MasterBrand’s Mantra and Homecrest Product lines and will partner with peer Training Managers to accelerate the Dealer training capabilities overall.  

The selected candidate will work intimately with Product, Sales, Customer Service, Creative, Digital and other internal teams to develop and execute training programs and content for key influencers including Kitchen and Bath Designers and Sales Representative Partners. Training content will include product detail, interior design trends, designer best practices, selling techniques, living in place designing, onboarding, and more. The chosen candidate will be driven, excited to try new approaches, and lead the charge with the training of target audiences to continue to position MasterBrand as the preferred partner of choice. 

The position is remote but will require travel across the US. 

YOUR ROLE: 

  • Activate the Training Strategy for Mantra & Homecrest. 

  • Maintain calendar of training events; Scheduling and executing learning opportunities both in-person and on digital platforms. 

  • Develop training courses in multiple mediums including live, virtual, recorded, and eLearnings. 

  • Develop training courses in multiple topics including Product, Kitchen Design, Sales strategies, and 2020 (technology tool). 

  • Improve and maintain iLMS systems used internally and by MasterBrand customers. 

  • Develop and deploy communications and event logistics related to training and learning opportunities. 

  • Create and manage materials for training classes and courses with regular material audits and updates as needed. 

  • Develop training articles for use in social media, website, and/or other marketing initiatives. 

  • Partners with other training managers to support each other in seasonal times of high and low workload. 

  • Measure training results and act on continuous growth. 

  • Request, receive, and act on feedback. 

  • Leverage ideas from other reviews and co-workers to provide value-added recommendations and best practices to others.  

  • Demonstrate the MasterBrand Way, positioning the company for growth and helping identify opportunities to reduce waste, complexity, and improve our work environment. 

  • Demonstrate teamwork by responsively collaborating with the management and staff, sharing information and ideas, proactively seeking, and accepting constructive feedback, and accepting additional assignments when appropriate.  

  • Identify self-development needs and seeks opportunities to work on areas that will further develop skills.  

Qualifications

  • Enthusiastic about kitchen design and teaching others 

  • Meticulous. Must have or gain extensive expertise in how products are used in kitchen design. 

  • Solutions-oriented thinker who can adequately assess and prioritize business needs and translate those into thoughtful and creative executions. 

  • Self-starter, but with ability to influence cross-functional teams. 

  • Willing to become an expert in a new function, tool, etc. 

  • Desire to win; bias for action. 

  • Experience with Design Live (2020) preferred. 

  • Some B2B or B2C Sales experience preferred. 

  • Expert in leading in-person and virtual training courses. 

  • Ability/willingness to learn to create digital e-learnings a plus.  

  • A passion for content development, writing, and customer engagement that drives results. 

  • Creative with experience in identifying target audiences and building traditional and digital content and training that engages, informs, and drives brand confidence, preference and loyalty. 

  • Consistent polished and professional appearance both in-person and virtually. 

  • Willingness to travel (25%-50%) for in-person training, customer visits, and strategic project events.  
  • Preferred: 2+ years working closely with or as a kitchen and bath designer. 

  • 5+ years manager-level experience in marketing, training, or similar field.
