Job Description

The Senior Logistics Analyst will support the Logistics functions, with an emphasis on leading improvement projects and supporting scheduling process optimization. This role will initially support projects in the logistics operations function and then transition to supporting capacity and constraint management in logistics scheduling. As a key analyst in the broader logistics organization, this role may support other functions in the logistics team as and when required.

Key Accountabilities

  • Access, organize, and aggregate data from various data sources to allow for analysis and performance monitoring.
  • Provide ongoing and ad-hoc analysis to support process improvement initiatives and measurement of key process indicators for the logistics department as a whole
  • Support and train team on usage of database and data processing/analysis tools such as Excel, Access, Alteryx, Power BI, SQL, Oracle Business Intelligence, Qlik, etc.
  • Publish reports in Power BI to enable team members across the logistics organization to efficiently access and analyze data.
  • Help identify, support and/or lead improvement initiatives to drive the deployment of logistics/supply chain best practices.  
  • Collaborate with all sub departments within Logistics, Plants, Customer Service, Sourcing, Materials, and Carriers in developing and implementing continuous improvement strategies.
  • Lead, facilitate, and drive logistics projects utilizing Lean Manufacturing tools/processes to deliver results.
  • Monitor performance to identify areas for improvement and monitor actions which result from identified opportunities.
  • Assist with the scheduling function, including analyzing demand and backlog to manage plant and regional constraints.
  • Assist with developing a new constraint management and scheduling tool and serve as a process leader to implement.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain, Business or related field strongly preferred
  • Excellent business acumen, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be highly organized
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong project management and team building skills
  • Ability to write SQL queries is required
  • High level of comfort and expertise with Excel and Access
  • Familiarity/experience with Power BI preferred
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
  • Minimal Travel
