Job Description

The Senior Manager, Compensation Partnership role owns the strategy, implementation, communication, business partnership, and administration of the companys compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, equity, and recognition.   Through close collaboration and strategic partnership with the HR team and business, this role designs and delivers total rewards programs and processes (new, annual activities, and modified) focused on the leader and associate experience to enable our best place-to-work culture.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of compensation partners to deliver high quality, operationally excellent work and provide informed guidance to support our continuously changing business needs through conducting analysis, understanding market data and trends, and proactively translating our compensation strategy and programs into a practical execution plan.
  • Support the develop of and sustain a 3-year total rewards strategy roadmap that considers best practice tools, external market trends, and MasterBrand’s business strategy. 
  • Provide direct consultative and strategic partnering efforts to human resources and business leaders to maximize the organization’s performance. Reinforce the mindsets and capabilities required to best use our compensation programs and ensure a strong ROI on using key HR systems, tools, and processes.
  • Build an understanding of our total rewards offerings by driving associate and leader engagement through effective communications and easy-to-use programs.
  • Lead end-to-end compensation processes, including survey management, annual compensation planning, salary structure reviews, etc., with a strong focus on operational execution on time, complete, and accurate.
  • Develop, sustain, and evolve a job architecture that provides a foundation for HR and compensation practices and analytics, enables talent initiatives, and drives equitable, efficient, and transparent programs.
  • Continuously identify and drive process improvement utilizing our lean tools to effectively prioritize, leverage technology, and deliver operationally excellent programs and processes to the business.
  • Develop and execute our annual calendar of core total rewards activities.
  • Develop the wage-related budget for the company based on market data and competitiveness, internal pay equity, etc..  Monitor the budget to actual and proactively communicate variances. 
  • Ensure proactive compliance with government (federal, state, and local) regulations through regular monitoring, planning, and program modifications.
  • Lead initiatives that improve the associate experience creating a best place-to-work culture.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience is required in addition to 10+ years of a combination of compensation and benefits program implementation and managerial responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering and developing a team who delivers high quality, operationally excellent work.
  • Experience in the analysis, delivery, and business consulting of compensation programs is required. 
  • Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, execution, and communication skills are required. 
  • Advanced MS Office skills are required – especially Excel.  HRIS experience required, Workday implementation, configuration, and maintenance experience a plus.
  • Must possess strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and the ability to influence and communicate at all levels in the organization.
  • Ability to influence, problem-solve, and successfully collaborate and communicate with stakeholders of various levels
  • Well organized and confident to work independently but a strong team player.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and balance priorities with a sense of urgency.
  • Occasional travel required.
