Snapshot of the Role:
We’re looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our MasterClass at Work sales team. As an SDR, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our Enterprise Account Executives (AEs) by driving top-of-funnel pipeline through strategic prospecting and outbound engagement. Your primary responsibility will be identifying, connecting with, and qualifying potential enterprise customers who can benefit from our platform’s learning and development solutions. What You Will Do:
- Partner closely with Enterprise Account Executives to develop and execute targeted outbound prospecting strategies.
- Identify and engage key decision-makers in HR, Talent Management, L&D, and related functions at Fortune 1000 companies.
- Conduct high-volume outreach through cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other channels to generate new business opportunities.
- Craft clear, compelling messages that resonate with prospects across various communication channels.
- Utilize active listening skills to uncover needs, tailor responses, and guide meaningful sales conversations.
- Confidently handle objections and navigate prospect interactions with professionalism and poise.
- Qualify leads based on Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) criteria and schedule discovery calls for AEs.
- Research accounts to uncover insights that drive engagement.
- Maintain accurate outreach, engagement, and pipeline progress records within our CRM.
- Experiment with A/B testing strategies, pivot messaging/tactics based on results and continuously refine outreach approaches.
About You (Requirements):
- Strong communicator who can craft compelling messages and actively listen to prospect needs.
- Resilient, gritty, and intrinsically motivated—on a mission to build a career in tech sales.
- Strong work ethic, persistence, and ability to handle rejection with confidence.
- Coachable and adaptable—open to feedback and eager to improve.
- Curious with a learner’s mindset—constantly seeking to refine and optimize sales strategies.
- Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience in sales or business development, ideally in SaaS or enterprise sales, with exposure to HR, Talent Management, L&D, or similar functions.
- Experience with outbound prospecting and high-volume engagement.
- Familiarity with sales tools like Salesforce, Apollo IO, Sales Navigator.
- Experience leveraging AI tools like ChatGPT to enhance sales outreach, research, and efficiency.
- Comfortable engaging with senior executives and decision-makers.
- Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding KPIs.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Compensation:
- Annualized Base: $57,000 - $68,000
- On Target Earnings: $71,000 - $85,000
- In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible for on-target earnings. The variable pay is dependent on the meetings completed and bookings sourced.
The salary range listed is for NYC/CA/WA. As a company, we have a location based strategy, which means the disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled.

In addition to salary, we also offer equity and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, flexible PTO, and more).
