About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced and proactive IT Systems Engineer to join our growing company. In this role, you will be responsible for the management, optimization, and security of our core corporate systems, including Jira, Slack, Google Workspace, Okta, MDM, and other SaaS applications. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business by providing expert-level support and implementing best practices for identity and access management (IAM), client platform engineering, and compliance.As a key member of our IT team, you will collaborate closely with IT Service Management and IT Infrastructure to maintain service continuity and drive efficiency. You will leverage your deep understanding of SaaS systems to build, manage, and scale our corporate environment, ensuring alignment with our compliance and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

Corporate Systems Management:

Administer, configure and optimize core corporate SaaS platforms (e.g., Jira, Slack, Google Workspace, etc.) to meet evolving business needs and enhance productivity. 
Design, implement and maintain integrations between various SaaS applications using API’s and integration platforms to streamline workflows.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to corporate systems, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolutions. 
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, integrations, processes and procedures.
Identify and implement automation opportunities for repetitive tasks, integrations and improvements. 
Monitor health, performance and usage of corporate systems - implementing alerting and reporting as needed.

Identity and Access Management (IAM):

Design, implement, administer and enhance IAM solutions with strong, hands on experience managing Okta, to ensure secure access to corporate resources.
Implement, manage and enforce access control policies, including RBAC, least privilege principles and regular access reviews.
Manage the end-to-end user lifecycle within our IAM framework. 
Implement, maintain and optimise our MFA and SSO solutions, primarily leveraging Okta.

Client Platform Engineering:

Manage and maintain the companys diverse fleet of laptops (MacOS, Windows) and mobile devices (iOS, Android), including hardware lifecycle, OS imaging/provisioning, software deployments, and patching.
Utilize strong, hands-on experience managing modern endpoint management solutions, specifically Jamf Pro (for iOS/MacOS) and Microsoft Intune (for Windows/Android), for device configuration, policy enforcement, compliance, and application deployment.
Develop, implement, and maintain standardized, secure client configurations and deployment strategies across all managed platforms.
Provide advanced technical support (Tier 3) for complex client platform issues escalated from service desk teams.
Evaluate, recommend, and implement new client platform technologies and solutions to improve security and user experience.

Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:

Ensure all corporate systems and processes comply with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, ITGC, etc.).
Develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data.
Experience implementing and managing data loss prevention (DLP) tools and strategies within SaaS applications is desirable.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving compliance requirements.

Collaboration and Communication:

Partner closely with IT Service Management and IT Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Provide clear and concise documentation and training to end-users.
Proactively seek ways to improve the IT corporate environment through automation and streamlining processes.


Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT systems administration or engineering in fast paced startups, preferably in a SaaS environment.  
Proven experience managing and optimizing SaaS platforms (e.g., Jira, Slack, Google Workspace) and crafting innovating solutions on top of these.
Strong understanding of IAM principles and best practices, including RBAC, SSO, and MFA.
Experience with client platform engineering, including laptop fleet management and software deployments.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience in automation and scripting (e.g. Python, Bash) is a plus.
Experience with cloud based MDM solutions is a plus.
