A Day in the Life

Drives the creation and delivery of training, educational, and value-added programs for Cardiac Surgical Heart Therapies (CST). Takes a lead role in managing program content and training activities with an emphasis on customer related initiatives for surgical heart valves and Revasc therapies. Responsible for continuously monitoring the training needs of the customer in order to identify areas to enhance product knowledge, increase market understanding and educate the on new therapies and products. Initiating, designing, and implementing training programs to effectively address these needs/requirements while managing within budgetary guidelines. Works in collaboration with marketing, sales, and human resources to accomplish this, as well as manages projects with external vendors.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Facilitates customized training and education programs for Medical and Academic Professionals on diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, to increase procedural, technology and product adoption to improve patient outcomes.
  • Participates in conventions, forums, symposia educational content and scientific education programming meetings for promoting product and procedural awareness.
  • Lead and assist on key initiatives in the development, execution and continual improvement of physician education programs including content development, faculty and site management, program execution and follow-up, and documentation and tracking.
  • Conducts/ Facilitates physician led education and consulting, supports establishment and maintenance of customer relations with clinicians and organizations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide customer and training content for both surgical and Revasc therapies.
  • Monitor training needs of customers to enhance product knowledge, increase market understanding of cardiac surgery product platforms and related therapies.
  • Keep abreast of trends, leading developments and technology (implement as appropriate).
  • Assist in the development and managing of budgets to meet company and business unit objectives.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders in marketing, clinical evidence, field training and executive teams.

Must Haves:

Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2 years of medical education, marketing, project managerment experience,

OR

An advanced degree

AND, ability to travel 30-40%.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$70,400.00 - $105,600.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
