A Day in the Life
The Regional Education Manager is part of the Health Care Professional (HCP) Local Education team which is a shared service medical education team for the Americas group at Medtronic. They will work with multiple Operating Units across the Medtronic Enterprise. The Regional Education Manager is a trusted consultant who is aligned to the OU strategic plans and provides bold education solutions that helps drive therapy adoption and delivers results for the OU/business.The Regional Education Manager is part of the Health Care Professional (HCP) Local Education team which is a shared service medical education team for the Americas group at Medtronic. In this individual contributor role, you will work with multiple Operating Units across the Medtronic Enterprise. The Regional Education Manager is a trusted consultant who is aligned to the OU strategic plans and provides bold education solutions that helps drive therapy adoption and delivers results for the OU/business.
In this role, you will be responsible for executing local HCP education programs. You will play an integral role in supporting the local education strategy while collaborating with sales teams.
This role is based anywhere on the East Coast and must be near a major airport.
Responsibilities include
Manages local HCP education programs across the United States.
Ensures training program(s) meets company and customer objectives.
Manages a breadth of HCP education offerings: both HCP faculty led courses and Medtronic led Product Workshops; Didactic training (in-person, hybrid, virtual); Hands-On training (cadaveric or dry demo); Brick & mortar lab facilities, in hospitals or surgery centers, restaurants, hotels.
Communicate with internal and external partners including physician faculty and sales leaders.
Builds/maintains positive relationships with peers and colleagues across organization levels.
Coordinates in a fast-paced environment in an organized manner while meeting deadlines.
Incorporating program management best practices in all aspects of work.
In addition, the Regional Education Manager must
Ensure all timelines and deadlines are met to deliver successful program execution.
Have extensive direct, face to face customer contact and interaction.
Thrive in a fast paced, nimble environment while maintaining high workloads.
Be flexible to travel approximately 50%-75% of the time. Including nights and weekends
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
7+ years of experience in an education, program management, event management, sales, clinical, or marketing with a Bachelors’ degree; 5+ years with advanced degree.
Medical industry experience required.
Desired/Preferred qualifications
2+ years of experience working with clinicians.
Excellent customer service skills
Proven ability to build/maintain positive relationships with peers and colleagues across organization levels.
Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication skills.
Ability to coordinate/participate in numerous tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment in an organized manner while meeting deadlines.
Medtronic customer and product knowledge
Strong MS Office knowledge; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Knowledge of adult learning methodologies
Strong creative problem-solving skills and influence management skills
Experience in managing medical education programs.
Additional Physical Job Requirements
Frequent required travel to HCP local education programs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be independently mobile.
Ability to travel overnight up to 50-75% of the time.
Ability to conduct company business outside of the typical Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm work-schedule.
Sitting, standing and/or walking for up to eight hours per day.
Ability to wear 5-7 lbs of lead apron for extended periods of time.
